We stayed 25Jan to 22 2012.Room spacious & clean.Kitchen very basic.Great view of white wall (at rear)...a mural might have made it more interesting..difficult to sense weather for day.Dining room much too small for clientele..spill over room lacked ambience,as did room.Staff very helpful.Ignore street activities & youre well placed for public transport & in our case the annual Carnival..which was... We stayed from 23rd-30th January 2012. Our room was spacious and clean. The facilities were basic but all functioned well. The shower, disappointingly, came just off the bathroom taps but was hot and powerful. We appreciated the small desk with extra chairs. The dining room was too small but we manage an adequate breakfast nonetheless. Eggs, hard boiled only. The... More

This hotel was built in 1964 and looks like it has never been redecorated. The standard is not good. You can't close the windows properly, so it is chilly and noisy from the street. The beds are too short is you are tall. The neighbourhood has many prostitutes and junkies. Ok if you want a cheap place to stay and... More

We stayed at the Faycan in Sept 2011. The rooms were large, and clean, with kitchen area, bath, shower and bidet. The rooms were right next to the beach, and we could look out of the window and see and hear the sea. The morning breakfast was really good value, lots of choice. You are only 10 mins walk away... Great hotel. We stayed twice last year, once the year before and going back this November for 6 days. Rooms are big and are cleaned everyday. We always stayed in a studio which is quite convenience as you can cook your own meals once you are back from the beach. Fridge with a bottle of water as a welcom is a... More

We have stayed at the Faycan several times with large groups of friends; and every ti9me their service gets better and better. It is in a great position for the beach and Las Palmas Santa Catalina; it has good rooms ( we usually stay in the apartments with fridge and kitchen and sofa areas) and sun-loungers on the roof; lovely... This hotel is a three star so dont expect five star accommodation. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day, good continental breakfast and located just off the sea front. It was 10 min walk from the bus station, lots of bars, restaurants and shops nearby. We travelled here at the end of February and found ourselves in the Carnaval- this added... More

This hotel is functional rather than luxurious - but it has everything you need. No balconies but a large roof terrace with sun loungers. Excellent location right on the promenande with a sandy beach just a few metres away and a wide choice of restaurants nearby. Also conveniently located for the bus station. Very good value for the price. More

The service and location were excellent. The rooms wee spacious but outdated and the lack of air conditioning was a problem with allergies. The breakfast was very complete and the view from the roof deck were amazing. Not recommended for couples or anyone requiring a peaceful night's sleep. Internet and computers available for use as well as beach towels. Very... More

After booking 2 nights at Faycan and paying online, Ryanair let us dwn badly so we missed our 2 nights at the Hotel Faycan. I called them immediately and spoke to Rosie the manager who was so kind and considerate. She rebooked our rooms a week later at no extra cost!!!!! and we were able to enjoy a very nice... More
