Stayed 3 nights here for our first anniversary. Won on Priceline bidding for 4-star hotels. This is DEFINITELY not a 4-star hotel. Positives: In a quiet area with easy metro access to central places; very close to the beach. Negatives: Where to begin. No alarm clock. No coffee maker in room. No Wifi in the room. No iron or ironing... More

Rafael hoteles diagonal port is close proximity to the coast. However, it is far from metro station (15 minutes walk nearly) and far from central. Internet connection is limited to lobby area. This is an handicap I think in the internet era. But in other aspects, It is a good hotel. Personal are trying to help to inhabitants of the... More

Although on the outskirts of Barcelona it was easy to get around on the metro and the room was spacious and very clean. The hotel lived up to it's expectations and provided everything stated in the hotel description. The service at reception was good, however the internet connection in the room was a bit iffy and we could only use in... More

The location is great, the beach is across the street. The area is so quiet and beautiful, new buildings, relaxation areas. The hotel looks ok, might need some refurbishments (especially the wooden floor and furniture). The breakfast is wonderful, probably the best 've eaten in years; so various and tasty. I totally recommend the hotel for a city trip, the... More

Lovely hotel, near the seafront. Beautiful room, nice breakfasts, very pleasant staff, extremely clean and modern, a credit to the staff. Easy to get into the city on the bus, or walk to the beach in 5 minutes. Very enjoyable few days. (26 to 29 March 2012). Jen and Colin More

I am used to spending the night in a hostel for only 11 euros a night. Although this hotel was better than this, there were a few parts that made it unworthy of the price. For example, the ethernet chord did not work with my laptop and so I had to pay for the wireless in the rooms, which is... More

Barcelona is a wonderful city - and if you're coming here for pleasure, there are dozens of hotels to stay in - from the cool modern beachfront towers to sexier, hidden townhouses. But, if like me on recent trips, you are coming to the city to work, Hotel Rafael is great. It's small, well located and extremely friendly. For less... More

Visited this place for a week in late october, early november 2011. The place is nice - I enjoyed the neighboorhood eventhough its a bit out of the way of Downtown Barcelona. Poblenou it's called. Head for Rambla de Poblenou for nice restaurants, and Bilbao 34 for a greal local place. As said the hotel was ok - but my... More
