“worst hotel ever”

Too expensive as compared with the price. Breakfast service is really awful. Do not take or pay breakfast in advance Moreover they serve breakfast late at morning (starting from 8.00) which is not a good option for bussiness traveller.

“My preferred place in BCN”

Just spent a few days in BCN, and took the wonderfully quirky room 125 (again). It's highlights include preservation of original decor, interior view of gardens and square, with light, zero street noise, and birds singing in the morning. Quality, location and service strike just the right balance at Balmes Hotel.

“Average mid class hotel, with great location”

Well. Let's start with the obvious. Two blocks from La Rambla, three blocks from two metro lines and add another block and you have the rest of them. Stayed at the Balmes three nights in April 2013. Hotel is located close to Casa Botllo which was spectacular. Not far from Sagrada Familia which is stunning and a must see. we had a great experience. the place is so unusual, feel cousy and quiet, clean and fair. we'll come back.not like others hotel, this one feels not industrial and touristic, but more buisness or quiet style. its not at the heart of the rambla - which made it perfect
