We spent 3 nights in the hotel, which is situated on Catalan Bay, a beautiful sandy beach where there are pubs and restaurants, and the lovely Mediterranean sea. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and the hotel was immaculate. I can't help with a food review as we ate in Casemates Square every time, but the hotel specialises in Italian... More

Stayed for the third time at the Caleta and seen a few changes. First time was 1972, so the hotel has evolved somewhat over the years. Food has improved and although the main restaurant is expensive, the food was lovely and the service very attentive. Also at lunch they serve superb pasta and you can eat in the bar during... More

I have stayed in all the hotels on Gibraltar over the years and always favoured The Rock. I was moved to the Caleta by the travel company because The Rock is being refurbished. I am so glad I accepted. The sea view rooms are lovely, watching the sun rise every morning is a treat. The food on the terrace is... More

Me and my partner stayed at the Caleta Hotel for 5 nights in April. Pros: Helpful and friendly staff, Clean. Lovely breakfast. Cons: Hotel in need of some refurbishment in some areas. Food not that good (except for breakfast) Bus stops right outside the hotel. It costs £1.50 for the day so you can use it mulit times daily. All... More

We have just arrived back from a 5 night stay in this hotel for our wedding anniversary. What a wonderful hotel. On arrival the reception staff was very friendly and was an easy check in. We had booked a sea view room and was not disappointed. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. I should never had taken... More

Extremely intriguing position, just on the sea with a wonderful landscape, and free parking available: these are the only reasons that could induce to choose this hotel. Apart from this, after passing by a beautiful reception hall and bar, I went to my room by stairs (doesn't exist lift), through a corridor already smelling out of date... Room (mine was... More

I have just returned from a conference which was held at the Calita, spent four nights there. Excellent conference venue with pleasant and helpful staff. Also a good venue with spectacular sea views and a good base for exploring Gibraltar, if you have the time. I will be returning to Gib for a holiday to see the places I learnt... More

The room was lovely and the balcony was directly above the sea.The bar terrace also directly overlooks the sea with wonderful views and the breakfast room is the same. There is a small courtyard/terrace within the hotel which was a suntrap in April when we stayed. We went to the terrace on our first afternoon but we were discouraged from taking the... This was a nice hotel especially if you get a room that faces the water. Unfortunately the hotel is a little out of the way and it is easiest to take a taxi to and from town as they are not expensive, around 5 gbp. We were glad that we brought EARPLUGS because the walls are paper thin and the... More

Second time we'd visited Gibraltar and this time we stayed at the Caleta hotel because we hadn't seen this side of the island and also because we hoped that my mum would get to see her beloved "mates" (apes) on our balcony! Gibraltar is a fantastic place to be anyway and having good weather and sharing it with people you... More
