I stayed in this hotel during a tradeshow last October 2012. The time I spent in the hotel was only for sleeping. The location is perfect since the metro station is only 2 minutes by feet; the line is the one direct to Feira De Madrid.

Great location but the property is tired and in need of a massive renewal program. Linen, towels, TV sets (appalling), doors, bathroom fixtures, etc. as mentioned... The lot! A real pity because the location is great. Not the most glamorous street in Madrid but meters away from Castellana and within walking distance of the main business districts.

Nice hotel, but my room was very small, but that's was not a problem for me. The main problem was a the smell of cigar smoke, despite not allowed in that floor. The breakfast is very good if included in price. The wi-fi to my room was not so good with poor reception. Very close do Metro station.

We stayed at the NH Zurbano because it was central and on the metro-line to the airport. We were able to check-in early and my (pleasantly) demanding wife immediately asked for a room change. Nice room and decent WiFi. The location is good with a metro station very nearby yet the street is very quiet. The reception staff are VERY helpful indeed. The killer is the breakfast which in itself is OK but at 18 EUROS is a real rip off. There is a bakery opposite that may be worth a try.
