My mother, daughter and I stayed at the AC Hotel Carlton Madrid a few weeks ago. It was a lovely hotel, very clean and close to just about everything. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We had breakfast one day at the hotel, very good but expensive. We would get a pastry at a local shop on the same street...

I stayed 7 nights at this hotel and liked it very much but be careful when you pay your bill using a U.S. credit card as they will automatically convert to US dollars at an exhorbitant rate. When I saw this on my receipt they simply said it was for "informational purposes" only and assured me that the exchange rate...

We have checked your bill and the conversion from Euros to U S dollars is correct. The hotel doesn't influence in this conversion, there are interbank price agreements internationally accepted. If you have any doubt with this conversion you have to talk with your bank, because the bank is the one that charges the commission.
We have hundred of international...

Unfortunately I was only there one night but I was quite impressed. I got there at 10AM, thanks to intercontinental airplane schedules, they were quite accomodating (yes, do tell them in advance), understood that I wanted to SLEEP, friendly front desk, not great in English, but effective, and of course, this is Madrid, Spain, not New Madrid, Missouri.
My reservation...

Fabulous long weekend away with a friend to Madrid.
Had a lovely stay at AC Carlton. We had a lovely Superior Room, clean, modern, and spacious throughout main sleeping area and the bathroom. Nicely decorated rooms. Mini .bar is free....didn't know until we enquired about buying water at the main bar.
Staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast buffet was included...

We stayed here for 2 nights on a trip to Spain. The location is great especially if you plan to use the Renfe train system. It's about a 5 minute walk to the train station. The rest of the area is alright, but a 10-15 minute walk gets you into nicer areas in Madrid. We walked to the palace in...

Rented the Junior Suite featuring bedroom with King and separate living room with sofa-bed.
This had ample room for a family of 4 with top quality furnishings. Our room was on street side, but street noise was not a problem. Best price of any AC (Marriott affiliated) hotel in Madrid and 3-5 minutes walk to train station (with bags).
I...

We (a mature couple) stayed at this hotel for three nights in March 2012. With he exception of the dangerous steps inside the main entrance, we liked everything about it - location, decor, price. It is located close to the train station so we were able to walk to the hotel on our way back from Malaga. It is also...

We were three families staying in this hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Absolutely perfect locations- just three minutes by walking from Atocha train station and Metro which helps you to get even to the Airport for very low price and only 20 min. the hotel situated on a walking distance from Botanic garden, Prado museum, Retiro Park. Very...

We were delighted in every way with the Carlton, even though this is not a standard Marriott Hotel.
The hotel is not well known and we had to direct Taxi drivers to it. The Marriott relationship is unclear and not evident in the hotel. If you book it, you need to be aware of the pros and cons, especially if...
