We had a long weekend in Madrid during May 2012, the weather was hot and sunny, beautiful time of year. The Asturias Hotel is a bit worn and needs a good makeover, but then would command double the price that we paid. Our room was at the back of the hotel and looked out into a light shaft so was... Pros: The best part is the location and only the location.. its literally a few seconds or minutes to everywhere Central in Madrid.. Cons: The worst hotel on the planet, the front desk receptionists are unfriendly. We got a room facing the street and it was noisy and with a very small bed. The picture i saw when i booked... More

The best of the hotel is the location. Very well located near Sevilha & Sol metro station. The room was clean and small. There was no water pressure in the bath which would be a trouble for one with long hair! The elevator is limited to 300kg so to say 3 adults with luggage. And with large groups staying at... More

Stayed here over Valentines week and loved the location as it was right in the heart of the city. Plaza Mayor is a short walk away as well as Sol metro station. The rooms are a little small but clean, the high double balcony doors only shut at the bottom which can be an issue in the winter. There must... More

The reception is small but modern and it is only when confronted with the one lift and 20 teenagers ahead that one gets the idea why this is a 2 star. Best to get some excercise and head for the stairs. The room is adequate and clean but there is a sense of the 1930s about it and the ensuite... More

We stayed in this hotel for a very short time, only one night, because we had just to spend a night in Madrid between our flights. Arrived late and left the hotel early in the morning. We chose this accommodation due its convenient location right in the city center and close to Plaza Cibeles, from where buses run to the... More

The hotel was pretty nice. The location was great! The hop on hop off bus stop is just a short walk away! The hotel is fairly nice, although some things look worn out ( stairs clearly worn by traffic, some chippy paint , etc.) We had a little balcony looking out over the side street that I thought was pretty... Excellent location ...close to everything in Madrid.....very large rooms with all basic needs......i would rate it a 3 star not 2 as it says....only complaint was that all the receptionists have a big difficulty to smile and welcome guests. The restaurant people were very nice. I would definitley recommend this hotel More

It is located in the center of the old city area...very close to Puerto del sol...If you are coming from Train station PTA.ATOCHA, then I think Metro will be a better option compared to the bus... Well the location of the Hotel is fantastic, but the Hotel is quite old...they have maintained it OK, but the feel you get is... More
