Stayed recently for a wedding in Spain and it was a great base for us. The rooms were well kept and all staff were polite and courteous. Reception staff are multi-lingual and the others are polite enough to help you stumble through your basic Spanish! :-). The hotel is well situated, just off Serrano, but is definitely looking old and tired nowadays. The soft furnishings were shabby and threadbare in places, the paintwork in our room was chipped and dirty (and coming off the ceiling in a couple of places) and there was a tile missing in the bathroom.
