My partner and myself spent two nights in this hotel when we had a weekend break in Madrid. Friendly, helpful staff, Good rooms and a nice restaurant where there was a good chioce for breakfast, both cooked and Continental (including Cava to have with your Orange juice or just on its own) However avoid the Tea unless you like it... My husband and I stayed here 4 nights. We are on our honeymoon and the hotel staff was took good care to make sure our stay was comfortable. The location is excellent - close to train station and to bus stops to cOnnect to main locations on the city. Breakfast was good. Rooms- basic clean, but old. Overall it's a... More

This hotel is not expensive, so if you want London or USA 5 star equivalent, then you need to stay in a 5 star DL hotel in Spain - these are the equivalents, and the rates reflect this. So taking that into account: We arrived and were asked by the friendly receptionist if we wanted an interior or exterior view... More

You can see that this hotel was a great one a couple of decades ago. I reserved via hotwire. Its fine for a couple of days in a business trip. More

Spent a night here in March, 2012. General hotel space was amazing. Huge, very much a throwback to the 80s though all a bit faded. My room was spacious and very comfortable and the location of the hotel is really excellent. Good for the metro and financial district. Then I tried to use the so-called 'business centre'! What a joke!... More

Great location and have could have been so much more. Photos on the net are misleading as the rooms are very dated. Though deemed non smoking the two rooms we had stunk of smoke. I would suggest that post smoking ban being enforced they have not been redecorated. This is my second stay in Madrid and this is worse of... More

I stayed for 3 nights on a weekend break. It's in a great location, the most important thing for me as it was my first time in Madrid and was sightseeing. The metro stop was literally outside the hotel door, 25 mins from the airport by metro (only 1 change and €2!!!!) and 10-15 mins from the very centre by... More

First the downsides: Have stayed twice in this hotel, on both occasions on a business trip for a whole week and in a standard room. I will avoid staying here again, and have told my hosts to book another place for my next trip. The hotel lives on the memory of a past 5 star hotel. The décor and furniture... More

The hotel has a metro right by the front door which gives excellent access to the airport and the city centre. The hotel was clean and comfortable, but not quite 5* luxury. Furnishings are tired and dated but staff were excellent. We were able to book into our room at 11.00 am on our arrival from the airport - this... More
