We stayed here for 10 nights and found the hotel extremely well positioned to Sol, Plaza Mayor, Prado, etc. It's a bargain for the old warm charm of the place. Sure the walls are thin and neighbors can be heard at times but that's Spain generally. lively neighborhood with lots of good tapa and copa bars. Good security. Have been... More

The hotel is situated right in the center of the town. It is near the metro station Sevilla and Sol. There are plenty of restaurants and bars near the hotel. The room was clean and big. We wanted a room facing the interior court in order to be less noise. Indeed it was a quiet room, but because it was... More

This is a no frills hotel and there's no doubting you are in Spain. Tiny entrance/reception area and even smaller lift. By contrast the room was huge. Polished wooden floors and massive wooden Spanish style furniture. Big bathroom with loads of hot water. We thought we would have prefered a room overlooking the street but in fact much better to... The location of this hotel is only within walking distance to most of the touristy locations and it makes you feel like you're in Spain because sometimes going in a 5 star hotel makes you forget where you are. This one is old fashioned and looks like family run. The rooms got proper furniture and bed, the bath room is... More

When I had booked this hotel, I'd been allured by its location and price. The price is very good. So, I was ready to live in small room without windows:) But in fact, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was pretty big, there was a lot of empty space, the bed was well enough (it had one minus - I'd... More

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Santander for two nights at the beginning of a trip during which we mostly visited Morocco. We wanted a reasonably priced room that also gave us proximity to the three major Madrid museums. The Santander was all of that, and it provided a reasonably large room that was nicely furnished and had... More

I m just back from a 12 day trip to spain & during our visit to madrid we stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. First, the USP of this hotel is its very convinient location, very central, near to SOL metro stop.the entire locality is very alive & happening, sol & plaza mayor are nearby.so great evenings are guaranteed.the... For some reason, before I came, I was under the impression that the hotel had wi-fi. Did I read it somewhere? I can't remember. At any rate, it doesn't. Other than that, it was satisfactory for the price. It was clean, old-fashioned in a fairly attractive way, quiet and air conditioned. Don't expect a great deal of English from the... More

For a two star hotel I felt this was a very nice place and the rooms were very spacious. Although I felt it was a bit expensive I really enjoyed my stay. It was very quite and I was able to sleep everynight without disturbance. This hotel is near the Plaza de Cibeles where everyone in Madrid goes to celebrate... More
