The Retiro Palace is located in a renovated old Palace. The interior is modern with the accent on the old and original parts. It is quite a small hotel. It is located in Bourbon-Madrid, in front of the park of Retiro, and at walking distance to the Prado Museum, but quite far (at least on foot) to the old center.
