I have just returned from the Sol Costa Blanca hotel Benidorm.
After reading some negative reviews I went with an open mind and what I found was a very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel in my opinion is in the perfect spot to be based and across from the beach, the food was excellent, prices...

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel which has just reopened after a refurbishment. This appears to have involved recladding the frontage in grey to modernise the look of the hotel although the sides and back are unchanged - maybe this is next winter's project? Inside the hotel is more or less unchanged.

We stayed at this hotel for seven nights half board in September and booked direct with Sol Melia central reservations. We booked a seaview room.
The hotel is in an excellent central position situated along side the beach. The guests are mainly Spanish and we did have some small problems with being understood. However if anything this enhanced the occasion....

I ended up here by default. My original accommodation was in the centre of town, great location but a hovel of a hotel (El Trebol - don't go!!) After 3 nights of staying in hell, I popped into an internet cafe to try and find a better hotel in Benidorm that could accommodate us for the remainder of our week...

When a internet code was stolen from our room, he was completely unhelpful, saying it was in our luggage, calling us stupid essentially. He also would not help us...

Hotel is in prime position and although a little dated we loved our stay. It was clean and the staff were really friendly. Food was varied and nice. There is rock bar next door but it did not spoil our stay and it all finished by midnight and it was not noisy. The position of the hotel was walking distance...

I have just returned after spending a week at this hotel. The overall impression is that this hotel is very dated and badly in need of renovation and much modernisation. This is particularly true of the bathrooms, which looked as though they haven't been updated since the place was built. The public areas are similarly somewhat depressing. There have been...

We booked the hotel for the week 16-23 April not appreciating that this coincided with the Spanish holiday Semana Santa (which translates as Holy Week - the week before Easter). This is one of the biggest Spanish holiday weeks and thus the resort and the hotel were pretty busy. We booked a front seaview room and this was absolutely fine...
