I stayed there in 1999, it was OK, I liked Salerno because it was not overwhelmed with tourists, there were a few decent restaurants and bars around. It was a good place to see both Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. you can get the Capri Ferry from right behind the place. The breakfast buffet was OK, the room was OK... More

We stayed here for 2 nights last weekend. The property could do with a little makeover as some areas look dated and worn. It is, however, in a perfect position for exploring the town and good for the seafront passegiata, great bars, pastry shops, restaurants and shopping. On our visits to Salerno we always consider the other options, including lovely... More

One miserable night in a room with graffiti on the paper-thin walls. Had to request ammenities, hangers, blankets; bed (joking) . Dinner was Ok but I am sure that the only guests who stay a second night are the little critters in the mattresses. More

Spent one night there on our way to Calabria. The property is poorly maintained. Everything shows its age. Carpets looked worn and dirty. Wallpaper was lacking in some places. We complained to the manager. He did his best to please us, even sending a basket of fruits to our room, but we would not stay there again. If possible, avoid. More

We stayed here just before the Easter holidays (2006) and had a good experience. The rooms are reasonable size, dated (70s style), clean with good views – we had a balcony, with sea view, which was great. The location is good, at one end of the town, close to nice bars, etc on Via Roma and other nice streets. Its... More

We stayed at the Jolly Hotel for just one night as our launchpad for the Amalfi coast drive. I have mixed feelings about the hotel. It has a very nice location along the bay, however, as the previous reviewer noted, that brought out a lot of noise late at night - the drumbeating and singing went on and on! (We... More

I enjoyed this hotel. Comfortable bed, nice view of park and sea, big bathroom, CNN, everything clean. Only problem was that Salerno residents like to party on the beach until the wee hours of the morning. I had difficulty sleeping every night, and the noise went on until 3 am or later. This may have been due to the fact... More

August 6, 2004 My wife and I ended our Italy trip by visiting Salerno and the Amalfi Coast (July 21-24, 2004). What a lovely stay we had. You MUST rent a car otherwise you’ll be stranded. We had a lovely Fiat PUnto. We stayed at the Jolly HOtel Salerno. Excellent location and excellent service. Definetely I recommend this place. I... More
