The building and location are fantastic, right in the middle of the centro storico and overlooking the bell tower of the Duomo. We were... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Our accommodation is a "bed & breakfast" inside a historic building "Palazzo Morese" dating back to the fifteenth century, just a few steps from the Cathedral of Salerno, in the heart of the old part of the city. The building has a lovely central courtyard from the loggia Catalan, faces the "Largo Cassavecchia", of Lombard origin and seat of the ancient "Treasury" of Salerno hosted the Pope Gregory VII and was restored in the eighteenth century and its facade partially transformed into Baroque style. In the main display of the inner rooms gets a style inspired by the "rococo", a clear influence of Architecture Ferdinando Sanfelice. After the damage from World War II in 1943 and the earthquake in 1980, the palace underwent a first restoration in 1960 and subsequently in 1990.Opened in 1992 as a private residence in 2010, the owners of the top floor decided to open the doors of hospitality with a beautiful suite on the fourth floor, which is derived from the room perhaps the most beautiful of the entire floor that overlooks the bell tower of the Cathedral of Salerno. This year, the structure of the "bed & breakfast" has been expanded with two other suites on the second floor of the palace, the plan that was home to the Pope Gregory VII.The rooms are high, bright, spacious and equipped with en suite bathroom and small kitchenette. In particular, two suites One-room is the third bedroom apartment with living room and kitchenette. All suites are decorating with antiques and family can accommodate a total of six people. The spacious rooms are en suite. In detail, two bedrooms have surface areas of about 25/35mq and the third room apartment with living room and kitchenette, 40sqm.The cost per night includes breakfast, cleaning and linen, and excludes tax.Apply special discounts for long stays, and an additional fee of €15 for the addition of a single bed in the room and / or baby crib. For children under 4 years does not apply any tariff. ... more   less
