We spent 7 nights in Ganymedes' Palace in 2009. I'm quite suprised to see bad reviews here. We had an amazing stay, from the first day on we felt welcome. The breakfast is alright (and superb on sundays). Both owners, Thanos and Alex, are great guys and we're very happy to get to know them during our stay. Whenever needed... More

I booked Ganymedes Palace in Rome via Expedia which was really bad. Our room wasn't clean and just after 4 times of asking on 1 day they only made up the bed, the carpet and bathroom (blood on the door??) still weren't cleaned. Only in the morning there was a staff memeber available?? The staff confirmed our complaint and understood... More

Spent our first night in Rome at this B&B and couldn't get out of there fast enough. Their website was totally misleading. Our room had been given to somebody else (not that it would have made any difference) No breakfast, no help, no private bathroom, no safe, no pillow cases just pillows wrapped in tea towels, not good smelling, in... The hotel is not in Trastevere, or in walking distance of it. We arrived and noone was there to accept us. Some non-English speaking girls explained that the proprietor would soon be back, and we were forced to wait in the empty apartment. He arrived after some time, only to inform us that the booking (done through Hotels.com) had not... More

Uniquely set B&B at the top of an apartment block in a Rome suburb. Nicely appointed rooms - especially the penthouse suite - this has its own large balcony, private entrance and spiral staircase hidden behind some wood panelling.Nice breakfast buffet with snacks available at all times in the kitchen. Very relaxed atmosphere with good recommendations available from the owners... More

We had a fabulous stay at Ganymedes Palace last summer! The two hosts were so helpful, cheerful and fun, the rooms were nice and clean, and the breakfast was yummy. Quiet area, and nice view over the city from the balcony. There was a bus nearby that went downtown to Trastevere. We'll come again anytime! Vivian & Roy, Norway More

I had booked this b & b on September 9, 2009 for a stay Oct. 29-Oct. 31. I used a booking website and received confirmation that the room was booked. They advertise a free pick-up service so I e-mailed them a week prior to arrival that I would like to use it. They responded, canceling my room due to an... More

I stayed at the Ganymedes with my girlfriend for 3 nights in October 2009. Before our arrival we confirmed the booking via email with Alex and Thanos (the owners) who in turn offered to collect us from the Termini station which we felt was very kind. On arrival at the airport we phoned to arrange a collection time however unfortunately... More

My wife & I stayed two nights in the Ganymedes Palace in September as we traveled through Italy. This B&B is close to the Travestere area but not located in the immediate Travestere neighborhood which can be crowded and expensive. Within bus or taxi reach, this B&B was a wonderful surprise. Alex was patient and helpful while we struggled with... More

Although we had booking confirmed with credit card, 3 weeks after making the reservation we received an e-mail that they made other reservations and we are double booked. Alternatively the owners offered to place us to two alternative hostels which we could not accept. Highly unreliable, little respect for their clients. More
