I stayed alone at the hotel for one night in late October and have no complaints whatsoever. My room was very spacious, as was the bathroom, and both were clean and in good condition. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly- they all spoke English- and they let me leave a bag with them for the good... More

First I did have a single room and it was very small, Bedding and bathroom very clean. Carpet in the bedroom could have been cleaner. In room safe mini bar Water 2.00 Euro Small bar which never seemed to be open Breakfast room only but very ample continental breakfast. Front desk staff helpful and spoke English very well. The hotel staff are polite and speak great english, the road hotel sits on is quiet and the windows are sufficiently glazed to keep any noise out. The room was pretty standard as European hotels go, not too small, not grand either, decent sized and reliably warm shower, all in room TV channels are Italian (not a massive deal, Postman... More

Having found this hotel after the disaster of Hotel Beldes we were pleasantly surprised. All in all a great hotel, great location, literally around the corner from the Vatican and on the main shopping street. Easy to find your way about... Staff lovely, breakfast was OK, nothing spectacular.... BE WARNED!! BEDBUGS IN ROOM 118!! We got horrific bedbug bites our... More

Myself and my partner were originally planned to stay in a hotel around the corner from this one but they had a problem with the electricity. Therefore, they placed us in this hotel for the night. This hotel is NOT a 4 star, in fact is more of a 2. The room we stayed in was the size of a... More

The hotel is in Vatican City and a distance from all the attractions in Rome, but it is close to the St. Peter's Basilica and Vatican Museum. We still walked everything because it is nice to see Rome on foot. If you want to take the metro, the closest station is about a 10 minute walk. The hotel itself is... More

The Grand Olympic Hotel was OK for a city hotel. The room was a nice size, but the shower was very small and there was little furniture to un-pack. The location was great if you wanted to visit the Vatican, and there were lots of stores and a few good restaurants around, but, taking a bus to the other attractions... More

I stayed here with my entire family, we booked 5 rooms in total. check was easy, staff was friendly, rooms were small but clean. Who spends time in their room when in Rome. The area was safe, bathroom facilities were adequate and the price was amazing. if you are expecting an American type hotel then pay a ton of money... More

Positive: Cheap, clean room, bed was comfy, larger bathroom, good venue for Vatican and metro, safe in room. Great deli round the corner and shops. Negative: small room, horrible shower, not enough toiletries for 2 (didn't even get more on day 2), not enough towels for 2, basic breakfast, rubbish and noisy air con and the worst hairdryer I've ever... I stayed for about a week in this hotel which has rated itself as a 4 star hotel and is in reality a 2 star hotel at its best. The room I got was on the ground floor, room #55, and was exactly the opposite of what the receptionist told me, very quiet. It was noisy in the daytime with... More
