Standard hotel, even if it is a 4 stars. Full of packed groups. The room is average. Breakfast is poor, mostly if you are there for a meeting or convention. I asked a freshly made cappuccino, and a quite rude waitress indicated the automatic machine. Go there only if you HAVE to go (meeting). IMPORTANT: you have to pay for... More

Reception is well handled and quiet meticulous. Very helpful and decent command on English which made things very easy for us. Check in/check out was swift. Though it is away from the city center, means away from site seeing locations, there is HI shuttle on chargeable basis which will drip and pick you from city center as per pre decided... More

We reached the hotel around 10 at night and the check-in was swift. Parking was free just besides the building, so thats a plus. The elevator felt as if it was from the 70s! It was quite worn out and outdated! The rooms were well appointed, comfortable and spacious. The downside was the airconditioning which did not work. The reception... More

we stayed 1 night in mid April as part of a tour. The first room we (3 women) were given had a huge patch of black mold in the corner. We had 2 single beds and a chair like thing that pulled out for a 3rd bed. It was like a parents bed in the jr. ward at the hospital... More

Our trip was essentially for us as a couple to take her 89 year-old father to see the Vatican and St Peter's. Our 18 year-old daughter tagged along as well. Hotel - fairly good Holiday Inn, very acceptably clean, very good food, and very attentive staff except for housekeeping which seemed to miss cleaning the odd mug in the room... More

We used Expedia's 'secret saver hotel' in hopes of finding a fun hotel in Trastevere. We lost that gamble and ended up at Holiday Inn Rome Aurelia. The location was a bit crap if you are wanting to visit the city centre but the hotel itself was ok. Breakfast is expensive so we didn't pay for it. There is a... More

The Holiday Inn Rome Aurelia (or Rome West) is on Via Aurelia (SS1) and just a few minutes from the Intersection with the GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare - Roman Ring Road around the city) which makes it a great hotel for visitors with a rental car or someone who needs to be near the airport. Although I have been to... More

If you want to visit Rome and yet feels like you are in america, this is the place. Very kind people at the front desk, quick services, fast taxi service. The breakfast (you can buy this together if you will) is the most like-american breakfast I found 'till now. Eggs, bacon, sausage, a sort of breads, juices and omelets or... More

A quiet hotel, a bit far out of the city, but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a mix of hot English style and continental. There didn't appear to be many people around, although the hotel was holding some sort of business type function on the Friday evening. Wine was 10 euro's a bottle, but no atmosphere in the... More

A nice, clean hotel. The room was comfortable enough and the breakfast was basic. The disavantage of the hotel is that is far from the city center and you need a car or a taxi to go there. The taxi in Rome is very expensive. However, good value for money. More
