My sister and I went to Rome for a weekend...after reviewing hundreds of hotel we went with our first choice Hotel Valadier and thrilled we did. The hotel was perfect in so many ways. It cost approx $40 Euro (we shared a van with another couple) on our way to the hotel and $50 Euro when we left to the... More

First, the pros. This hotel is ideally located steps from the Piazza di Popolla and just off the Via del Corso. Also, for 110 EU a night, you really can't find less expensive in touristy Roma. Now the cons, this hotel is an absolute relic from the late 70's. Decorated with floor to ceiling (and sometimes also the ceiling) mirrors,... More

Stayed here for 4 nights. Great location for seeing Rome most sights in walking distance and the staff were frendly and spoke very good English. The rooms are small but comfortable and wewre clean, they could do with a facelift especially the bathrooms. Over all good value for money and with the service a nice place to stay. More

The hotel is in a very nice location: just in the center of the shopping area. It would need to be renewed: rooms look modern bur are old and a lot of things are not working well. Rooms are noisy. Unfortunately such a quality is typical in rome. If you have time look for a better time: it is worth... More

This hotel is decorated with lots of marble and lacquer. One can tell that back in maybe the 80s or 90s this was THE place. Still its a great location from which to explore Rome. The staff is extremely friendly and hardworking. The ladies that run the breakfast buffet in the morning are perfectionist, breakfast is always laid out on... More

We went for this hotel because of the reviews, big tip, stay away at all costs. There is a scammer on every Rome corner. This hotel is no different. You are greeted by a very unfriendly ironlady who doesnt really want to be there. After a mazy hike you find your room. The real issue we had with this hotel... More

My travel agent had suggested this hotel. It is one block from the Piazza del Popolo and in the center of everything. Metro and bus are nearby and you can walk everywhere. The rooms were beautiful. I had a corner room on the fifth floor. It was bright and airy with two balconies and a view of the Villa Borghese.... More

We found the hotel to very clean and friendly. As everyone has said the location is excellent and this is what you are paying for. We stayed on the 5th floor and had no problems with the sound from the piano bar. The room (standard double) was possibly the smallest room we have ever stayed in europe. Just a word... More

This hotel garnered top marks based on several criteria. First location. The hotel is perfectly located close to all the "sites" but more importantly near fantastic restaurants and cafes. There is always something to eat or drink nearby. Second, the decor and hotel itself. The room are exactly what you'd expect for a major European city. The classic decor and... More

I stayed here as my usual hotel in room was fully booked and I just needed a room for one night on a business trip. Its an odd hotel, obviously had a lot of money spent on it in the 1980s, lots of black and yellow marble and quirky statues, pictures, smoked mirrors and pillars everywhere. My single room had...
