Clearly from the reviews, this hotel isn't for everyone. If your priorities are location and value, though, this may be the hotel for you. You can walk most anywhere except the Vatican or Coliseum, and the staff will give you clear instructions to get to those by bus. Also convenient to the subway. We stayed there in October. It is a typical rome hotel. Bed rooms small and dark and a little dated. However rooms were clean and comfortable. I don't know how this hotel got a 4-star rating. I suppose when it was new it would have been a really nice hotel, but that must have been a long-long time ago.
