We enjoyed a really pleasant stay here and I just want to add to comments already put on by my partner. I celebrated my birthday whilst in Rome and had taken some cards with me to open, but I'd left one behind (which was from my brother written especially in Italian and also contained £40). After an email to the... More

We booked a room for 3 nights based on the tripadvisor reviews and ratings. This was a nearly last minute booking so I think we paid too much compared to several of the reviewers and this affects our ratings of the hotel The pros: The room and the bathroom were clean and decent The cons: The room is very small.... Dear Mr Joe D. We are sorry to see that our hotel did not meet your expectations, but we would like to point out some facts, as to give a better information to all our future guests. - This period in Rome is super high season, so it is normal that the rates are a bit higher compared, for example,... This is a clean, fashionably decorated hotel a couple blocks off via XX Septembre in Paris. It is centrally located between the main urban park in Rome and locations like the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The rooms were more than adequate and quiet. Service was exceptional both at the desk where Victoria helped direct us to transit, art galleries,... More

We spent a week in the Gambrinus Hotel and would recommend it to anyone. Our room was a good size, with free Wi Fi, safe, complimentary bath robes and tea/coffee making facilities. The whole hotel was clean, the staff all very friendly and helpful. It was convenient for all main tourist attractions (we walked but there are bus and metro... More

Spent 4 nights in Rome and they were four very pleasant nights at this hotel. The staff are all very welcoming and speak English. Extremely helpful in providing advice on bus routes, restaurants and even the weather. Would stay there again if we go back to Rome. Rome itself was beautiful of course. More

The lovely, very efficient and friendly receptionist Roberta makes me want to give this hotel a 5 out of 5. She was the most efficient and welcoming person we met in Rome. The hotel is very charming, clean and our room was spacious enough for the one night we had to stay there with our two toddlers. (The room had... More

We arrived in Rome for our four night stay by train and the hotel was a good 20 min walk with cobblestone pavements. It was a little far for our liking simply because of the luggages that we had. The lady receptionist greeted us with the smile and she was very helpful with our questions regarding attractions and the public... More

Spent 3 nights here from 10th -13th May. We stayed in the annexe next to the hotel, which is basicly a big roman apartment which has been converted into extra guest rooms. Ours was room 121 which was at the rear, and had a dismal view of a service courtyard. The plus point to this though was that it was... More

We had a fantastic long weekend at the Gambrinus. We booked the special weekend deal from the hotel website and it was brilliant, the driver met us at the airport and we arrived at the hotel early, nevertheless our room was made ready within 20 mins. As a part of the deal we were upgraded and Fabio really did us... More

I stayed at Hotel Gambrinus for 4 nights at the start of May. It is around 20 minutes walking distance from Stazione Terminii. It could probably be accessed on foot faster, but I was walking slowly and towing a trolley bag. Check in was simple and the receptionist was friendly and welcoming. I was shown to the room by the...
