A wonderful residence in probably the best location in Rome. For those that don't know a residence in Italy is like a serviced apartment not a hotel - so you get a bedroom, sitting room and kitchen or kitchenette with maid service each day but don't expect a restaurant on site or pools and so forth - I think one... The hotel is centrally located literally 2 minutes from the Barberini piazza. We (my mom and 6 year old son) stayed in an apartment in the 2nd floor. I would call it guest house or B&B than hotel. It has retained quite a lot of period features. You can look out of the bedroom window and see the row of... More

convenient location. not too much in the tourist-filled area, but a few steps away from the metro station, with almost all the famous places within walking distance. good english speaking staff with great recommendations as to groceries to go to, transportation advice, etc. roomy and clean, makes you really feel like you are living in rome. We stayed at Residence Barberini during the half terms in October for 4 nights.. It is located very close to Piazza Barberini and walking distance to Trevi fountain (10 minutes), Colosseum (15-20 minutes), Vittore Emmanuel Monument (10-15 minutes), Pantheon (15 minutes), Piazza Navona (20 minutes).... I know most travellers do extensive walking in Rome but we also used the limited... More

There isn't a better place to stay in central Rome: quiet, large suites, very helpful and knowledgeable staff. But be cautious: I had $1500.00 stolen from my room, undoubtedly by the housekeeping staff. Of course it was denied. Yes, I should have used the safe, no doubt. My disappointment lies in the fact that the owner avoided me for four... More

This is not a standard hotel and it's hard to find at first. There's no sign, only a brass logo beside the door and the numbers "171" to show the street address. It appears to have been a small apartment building at one time and they've converted each of the two suites per floor into a hotel room. I would... More

If you are traveling with the family, this is a great hotel. They offer suites with 2 rooms that are very convenient for families with children. Suites have small kitchens with sink and refrigerator, which is very convenient also. We have stayed in this hotel many years ago and unfortunately it was not renovated since. The rooms are simple, but... More

We stayed for 2 nights. Good location, friendly reception, but very uncomfortable beds and rooms. Rooms are too small to an extent that there is no place to put your luggage. There were no mirrors in the rooms at all, only one was available in the WC, which in its turn did not have a socket to plug the hair... More

The Residence Barberini offers comfortable apartments within close proximity to the Spanish Steps. My husband and I traveled to Rome with our 2 year old son, and found these apartments suited our needs perfectly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, allowing plenty of room for the 3 of us. We were lucky enough to stay in the beautiful penthouse suite,... More

We stayed here for Christmas Holiday and over all it was a good experience. PROS: The staff was GREAT I mean they could not have done more for us. The location is awesome very close to everything and being near the Metro station was handy “2 euro for two people to take the Metro easy and a bargain”. Close to... More
