Spent 3 nights here and despite a few initial problems caused by our travel agency the staff were professional & understanding. The room was basic and clean with a comfortable bed. We also had a dressing area which made a big difference to how the room felt. It would have been nice to have a tea/coffee facility in the room... More

The rooms were clean and well decorated, a tad bit small but so are most rooms in central Rome. This was my second visit to Rome and I loved the location of this hotel. The Hotel is located very close to the Republica metro station and walking distance from Colosseo (15 min walk). The front desk is absolutely brilliant, not... More

This hotel suited us down to the ground. It's pretty central and off the main street so quite quiet. We were at a room facing onto the courtyard at the back and as it was November the Windows were closed and no noise coming from the other appartments backing onto the courtyard. The room was large and clean and although... More

Hotel Virgilio is a nice hotel and good location, friendly staff and relatively close to train station and attractions.Be wary of taxis, especially at the train station as they will try to charge you exorbitant rates & rip you off. The hop on hop off bus was a good way to get one's bearings of the city and see attractions. The Colosseum... More

We stayed at this Hotel from 3/11 till 5/11 2012 and had a lovely time. The best part about the Hotel is the location, it is just off the main shopping street and walking distance to all the main tourist attractions. The room was a lovely size but in need of updating but lovely and clean, perfect for what we... More

It is a small hotel with English speaking staff only a few blocks from the Coliseum and a metro stop. Restaurants and shops are all around. The room cost 78 euros for a matrimonial room which is one queen sized bed. It was clean with a nice marble bathroom. It did have a mini bar, which we did not buy... More

May 2011, we arrived and when we didnt speak Italian to the receptionist they were very stroppy with us, the lift was only big enough for one person with a suitcase. The beds were rock solid, may aswell have slept on the floor.... not that we got much sleep from all the noise of the traffic beeping outside, and paper... More

Great location about 500m from Termini train station and walking distance to Collosuem and Forum area. Handy for eateries. on the "Wallet eater/pickpocket express" bus route to the Vatican about 45 min away. The rooms can be very small, about the size of a double bed if you get a single room. but for 45 euros in Rome with a... More
