The hotel staff was very rude when we discovered our safe in our room was broken into, our passports, cash and three major credit cards were gone. We were called liars, cussed out by the staff. First they refused to call the police upon our request. Even after the police arrived, the rude staff member continued his mad rage. Never... More

Good morning, we thank you for choosing hotel 4 Fontane. We like to remind you that the safe was not broken. There is a system that if someone of the staff open any safe in any room (he sign the entrance in the room anyway) use a special code, safe well be blocked and cancel the client code. Can be... More

We enjoyed a wonderful stay here in January (2013). On arrival, check-in was quick and efficient and we found our room on the third floor. We were given instructions about breakfast, keys and maps of the area. We had one of the two-floor rooms, which was masses of space for just two of us. Along with the bathroom, a desk,... More

The hotel is in good proximity of the main train station and other stops, as well as main attractions. When we checked in, we were barely acknowledged by the reception desk. We were not provided any information about breakfast, room key policy and were not given any tour information about Rome. Luckily the elevator was working at the time but... More

Stayed 3 days 12/25 sept 2012, with Voyages Symone Brouty group Staff with a robotic smile. For ice, go to the bar on the roof, oh their ice machine is broken. Go out, walk down the street turn left and beg the restaurant for ice. That went on all three days. Our guide with a smile ‘‘that’s Italy’’

My wife and I stayed for one night pre-cruise and were not expecting too much having looked at other Trip Advisor Reviews - however, subject to a few niggles we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was on the top floor and really large with a separate sitting area (Two TV's!) mini bar and safe. The bed was comfortable and the... More

This hotel has only one thing going for it and that is it's location. The front desk service is staffed with apathetic, poorly trained staff. Upon arrival our room smelled of cigarette smoke, and there was no hotel staff to help with luggage. On the hottest day/night of our 3 night stay the AC was did not work. Interestingly when... More

Really impressed with the location of the hotel, breakfast is as expected for Italy. Can't fault the rooms as they were clean and comfortable, air con worked well so no real problems, expensive for the hotel but for the location is worth it! Reception were really helpful and friendly.

This is a reasonably good hotel, reasonably priced, and with a great location for exploring anything from the Spanish steps, the historical centre, and Collosseum to Trastevere and the Vatican - everything within (5-25 minutes) walking distance. Hard to find a better location for a vacation in Rome.

We stayed in a quadruple room in this hotel (2 adults & 2 teenagers). The room was a good size and was nicely furnished and clean and the bathroom was spacious and clean too with plenty of towels. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were left out each day. The room had air conditioning which was great as... More
