have just returned from a three night stay at the Giotto hotel, we found this hotel very good value for the price and although the hotel was full we where not disturbed by any noise, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the only complaint if there is one was the lack of tourist information on offer.the metro is only a... Getting a group of 16 adults organised into a hotel is not an easy feat. Mr Berni, the manager co-ordinated the whole thing with military precision. Communication in English was excellent and the staff is conversant in other languages. The staff were excellent hosts and attended to all our needs. Altough the rooms are small, they were clean and clean... More

We found the reception staff very friendly. As everyone else commented, the rooms are very cramped and odd shaped, but you are in ROME and shouldn't be spending any time in your room other than to sleep! So much to see and do. Giotto is a decent enough base. The walk to the Metro is about 10 mins and the... More

We just got back from a week in Rome staying at the Giotto Hotel, when we arrived we were put on the 6th floor in what can only be described as a glorified cupboard, the room had a double bed a TV that was at least 20 years old, and 3 dreadful channels. We spoke to the reception staff and... More

With our trip to Rome we pre-booked our room from South Africa and with great dissapointment we arrived at Giotto and was cramped up like sardines in a tin! We requested a bigger room and was only helped the next day! Its not as close as they say on the internet from the Metro... Breakfast was included but nothing special!... More

Tiny rooms and VERY noisy (we were surrounded by students who talked very loudly and the walls are paper thin). Breakfast wasn't too bad, a bit limited but bearable. Our room was clean and the maid was in every day. View awful. Bathroom was fine if a little small, shower was great. If you stay here the 49 bus is... More

My partner booked the hotel Giatto in Rome for me as a valentines surprise in Feb 2012. The pictures on the website make it look like a lovely place to stay but do not be fooled, the hotel looks nothing like the pictures. It was dirty, smelly and run down. The rooms are very small, i have a bigger bedroom... More

This hotel is far to far away from the main attractions of Rome. To get there you have to walk to the local Metro station which is about a 15 minute walk away, down a steep hill and along a busy main road that dosen't have any pavements, so you are walking in the road trying to dodge the traffic.After... Having stayed many places throughout Italy and in Rome, Hotel Giotto was by far the least desirable and least accommodating. Extremely far and inconvenient location; it took us up to an hour each way to get to and from the Rome city center. The address is located on a different street than the hotel was actually located, so we were... More
