We stayed her 1 night as we were flying from Ciampino the next morning. We had been travelling in Italy and arrived by train and tried to catch a bus to the hotel as it was situated on a busy road. The hotel was about 500 metres from the train station but on a dual carriageway with no pavements. We... More

I am writing this because I found travel advisor of some help in planning our trip. I start with the assumption that not everyone's expectations are the same and not every room is alike. The most important thing for my wife and me is that the room be clean and affordable. After all we are only there to sleep after... More

This was the worst hotel I have stayed in this year. Dinner was mediocre at over 40 Euros for two courses with wine. The room was small and shabby, and there were minimal offerings and poor lighting in the shower-room. The TV had good reception for Italian stations but quality was very poor for overseas channels. The desk-staff were off-hand,... More

Myself and my wife staye at the Appia Park Hotel in Rome during August 2006 for 1 week. Our stay began with a very nice welcome from a clerk named Allissandro who was extremelly helpful and welcoming...as frequent business traveller I stay in a lot of hotels worldwide and I must say his welcome given that he spoke fluent English... I enjoyed the our stay at the hotel. Staff was pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean. Each morning breakfast was wonderful. We only ate at the hotel one evening and that meal was neutral. The hotel and grounds are very nice, but the neighborhood around is rundown. However, access to the city was good. We used the bus... We booked the Appia Park through the Ryanair website (also the flights - brilliant value). We had looked at many hotels and could not believe how cheap this hotel was, especially as it was classed as a 4* hotel. When we arrived at Ciampino airport it was midnight and we were charged 53 euros to get to the hotel, which... More

The hotel is superb, well worth the money. However, it is only 7 Km from Ciampino Airport and the taxi drivers would prefer to take you into Rome 17Km. We were consequently charged 40 euros (£29) for this journey. An absolute rip off, so beware. I also had my wallet stolen to make matters worse. I now know it was... More

We used this hotel for 1 night at the start of our holiday because we were flying into Ciampino at midnight. Having picked up a hire car at the airport we found the hotel without too much trouble although it is on the opposite side of a fairly busy dual carriage way as you drive from the airport. I did... My wife and I have just returned from a visit from Rome having stayed at the Appia Park hotel. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent and sets you up for the day. The hotel was very good and the receptionist provided us with a map and advice of how to get the best out of a short weekend break.... More

My wife and I visited Rome in December 2004 and spent 2 nights at the Appia Park Hotel. We arrived by Eurorail at the Stazione Termini, we then took the underground to the nearest metro stop. From the metro stop, we had to hop on the 664 bus that goes along Via Appia Nuova... 5 minutes into the journey and... More
