We too really enjoyed the YWCA. If you're looking for a modern, air conditioned, full-amenity hotel, this is not the place for you. It is a peaceful, simple, affordable lodging on a quiet side street within walking distance of Termini. No phones, no t.v.'s, no wireless. A small plaque on the old facade is the only identifying marker and the... More

I was travelling alone with my little boy and I couldn't have found a safer, kinder place. The double room with attached bath at 40 EUR pp is a great price. Rooms have high ceilings, are spotlessly maintained and spacious compared to pokey Paris, where we were coming from. Breakfast is included and is a lovely spread of fruit, cereal,... More

Because my return trip was changed at the last minute, I was left w/ few options for an inexpensive stay in Rome. Then I read about the Y and decided to book. I was very pleasantly surprised. Don't expect any frills, but it is very clean, secure, and well run. Location is very close to Termini, but area seemed very... More

The service is friendly and I had no problems with anyone there. I had to share the shower and a freezer. Breakfast was included. The room is very high - ideal for hot summer nights - but there is only one window to let the sun in and so it's quite dark inside. You have one washbasin with a mirror... More

Had read reviews. Were good. Place has a street market from Monday to Saturday until 1:00 pm They start to install their places as early as 4:00 am with the respective noise. No TV. Otherwise, crew is nice and helpful. Near Termini Station and Tour operator Appian Line. Nearby some nice restaurants. More

This hostel is a plain and simple, extremely clean and relatively cheap place to stay at Rome. I stayed there out of curiousity. Although a 3 star hotel would definitely be more luxurious, hotels are no cheap at Rome. I would recommend this to people who wanna stay off Termini station. If you do not mind Termini area, Beehive is... More

June and July 2004 What a great find the YWCA was, 26 Euro per night (in a 3 person room) and that included breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. We ate lunch and dinner in the courtyard and were entertained by the sounds of African drums. A wonderful market right at the front door - lots of fresh fruit... More

An excellent find for women in Rome - central, spotless, friendly, a great place to meet interesting people and excellent value. Men can be accomodated if accompanied by a woman. More

If you can stand the 11pm curfew, this is the best value accommodation in the whole of Italy. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless, security is second to none, staff are friendly and efficient and the coffee at breakfast is the best in Italy! I thoroughly recommend it. I have stayed in both a twin room with own bathroom, also... More
