Considering this is a 2-star hotel I think you get good value for your money. The location next to Termini was very convenient, and we found the various horror stories about these quarters largely overexaggerated. The areas around any central station can be a bit rough, but we were never harassed, neither did we feel unsafe, even in the evenings.... More

I didn't really enjoy my staty at Capitol. There always seemed to be a slightly smoky smell in the room, and having a shower completely flooded the bathroom. Slats were missing from the window so light flooded in all the time from street lights, and there was always stairs to lug your bags up and down regardless of what floor... More

The only positive point is the location near the termini. No AC, we were there in june, it was too hot and didn't able to breath after a small effort. We had to sleep with window open and all that streets sounds: tramway until 1h am, so many people outside, music, etc. Bring ear blocks and some pills to sleep.... More

This hotel is conveniently located near the Termini train station, but the surrounding neighborhood felt unsafe during the evening hours. The location to the Ancient Ruins was fairly decent though and once you get out of the immediate hotel area it was ok. The staff wasn't very friendly and getting to the rooms was a chore as there were several... More

Was in Rome for 6 days, stayed at this hotel due to price and location. Right next to the train station and the drop off points for the Airport Shuttle bus used by ryanair. This place is good if you are going to be out all day and night only to return ready to fall asleep within 10 minutes of... More

First thing is it in a bad part of town, didnt feel comfortable leaving at night. Room had no AC. Mold on the bathroom walls, very noisy most of the night, very busy streets with the train station and bus stops so close. Terrible breakfast. only plus we found is that it was walking distance to ancient Rome sites. would... More

we were in Rome during May and we rent a room from Hotel Capitol for our last day of stay. this hotel is very very very convenient to the terminal, literally 2 minutes walk from the terminal which train is the best transportation between the city and the airport, extremely easy to get on the train (you don't have to... We stayed at this hotel in the middle of May. There was no in-room safe so I asked the front desk personel about that. I was told that I could check items for safekeeping with them and they would put them in the hotel safe. When I retrieved my possessions, I was missing a gold chain with a cartouche pendant.... More

Didn't really enjoy my stay. The trams start at 0530hrs and finish at 0030 hours. Our room was at the front of the hotel on the first floor. The towels were a bit of a shock. Didn't enjoy the hollow chewy roll for breakfast. There were a group of school children staying there when we were there. The shower was... More

I found this hotel from the internet. To tell you the truth, the photos in the internet concerning the bedroom and breakfast have nothing to do with reality. First of all our bedroom had no curtains, either a fridge. The water was really hot though, and they cleaned our room on a daily basis. I chose this hotel though beacuse... More
