Had confirmed booking from 26 May to 28 May 10 in the hotel, but on arrival were given this jolt that they did not have room for there was some problem. They did arrange for our transit and booking for another hotel, but then the location which had been chosen by us was not given. They had our email, could... More

As I had spent 2 hours in the travel agents choosing the San Marco hotel I was annoyed to find on arrival there that it was over-booked and we were re-located to hotel Galles around the corner. However, the Galles was warm, clean and just as convenient for the attractions. The down side was the restaurant only opened for groups... More

We were travelling with my sister and her husband and intially booked for four people into what we assumed would be a suite with two bedrooms. We were so wrong! We were given a room with 4 beds side by side! We were so exhausted from travelling that we spent the first night in this room but in the morning... More

Location: Quiet street, close to Termini Station, easy access to most of Rome's attractions. Takes a bit of walking to reach some of them (the Colosseum for example) but there's nothing better than a nice walk in central Rome, especially when the weather is nice! Rooms: We got a spacious room with a bathroom of good size and a charming... More

We stayed at the Galles Hotel in late July and overall, it was a good experience. We (2 adults, 2 children) stayed in a quad room. The hotel was only a block away from a Metro stop, and was a few blocks from Termini station (easily walk-able with some luggage). We had plenty of space, with 2 fold-out beds downstairs... More

I stayed there for business for a couple of nights in mid-week recently, in Room 212. The room I was given was very spacious but with a dated decor and smelt of damp. The bathroom was huge but didn't have a bath tub just a shower. Curiously there was no gel shower supplied to guests along with the shampoo and... More

I stayed at the hotel Galles for 7 nights in March 2008. I was a chaperone on a school trip of 8 students to Italy. Since I was alone, I was in a single room. The first 6 nights I was in R4. It was a very small room, but suited my needs. A small bathroom, a twin bed, a... More

Stayed at the hotel for three nights. Booked there by CHA travel, a student travel group that also has adult tours. We were an adult tour. None of the smoke detectors were in working condition on any of the floors that I visited. All of the smoke detectors had their "guts" removed. When we complained to the management, we were... More
