Everything started when Alitalia did not want to land in Bucharest due to bad weather conditions. So we left Bucharest with destination Madrid 3 hrs late and we missed the connection flight to Madrid. We were sent to the worst hotel I have ever experienced. This hotel survives only because Alitalia has delayed flights and the passengers miss their connection... More

I am going to avoid writing an extensive review as I usually do, so I am going to keep it simple... Situation: - 3 kids, 6 adults - Missed flight - Hotel was recommended by an airline (not important which one) - 1 night - Cost covered by us Remarks: - I truly wonder who would give this hotel 4... Nobody stays here by his own money i guess. if you are given one room for free by A.airline company - i guess this is the only channel of finding customers- due to some cancelled flight etc, try avoiding this hotel. one star can be given for clean towels and bed linens, however everything else is bad. small rooms, awful... As for most of the guests , we were sent to this PALACE because our connecting flight delayed and we missed the next plane. The Hotel is not a nightmare but you can only give it 2 star based on the lobby and the restaurant. The rooms are terrible , aging , no safebox , a small old TV that... More

This hotel is sad, dirty, depressing and awful!! The room we got was very dirty and totally worn out. Walls was covered with all kinds of dirt. The hallways had carpet wich was covered with layers of dirt. Internet is not included. The tv had terrible signals. Our advice: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! More

Dirty filthy discusting room (141) and I can keep on going. Alitalia missed my connection by arriving 2 hours late and i had to stay for the next flight in the morning. They put me at the "palace" of many decades ago. Since then it was not renovated. If you have a choice do not stay At this hotel. More

This so called palace hotel is an horrible buiding 15 minutes far from the airport. Rooms are outdated, carpets ar dirty, lights are ugly. Service is not so bad but really this is not at all an hotel where to stay. it is neither a palace , nor near the airport and certainly not a four stars as it says.... More

Having read all the prior reviews, one thing is clear: this hotel is only used by airlines to accommodate travelers in case of their screw-up. After the lovely staff of Alitalia had delayed one of my flights, I obviously missed the connecting flights by a staggering minute. These things happen, so my fiancee and in-laws were able to stay calm.... More

We referred to this hotel as the: "Alitalia Airlines Hotel for Stranded American Passengers". Alitalia Airlines screwed-up our flight home and had the 'decency'(?) to put us up in this joke of a hotel. Our shuttle was late and by the time we got to the hotel we were offered "lunch" which consisted of whatever was leftover on the 'buffet'... More
