If you like lovely little hotels with wonderful staff (from front desk to maintenance) clean, pretty rooms with great bathrooms - GREAT location - walk to bus, train, taxi stand and able to walk for 5 minutes and be at the top of the Spanish Steps, or the Trevi Fountain.......then this is your place to go to! Very reasonable rates... More

Our stay at the Albergo Ottocento was overall very good. Rooms looked newly renovated and were spacious (by European standards) and comfortable. We LOVED the crossaints and coffee at breakfast, and were very happy with the location. Service was very friendly and helpful. We'd definitely recommend!

I like the location. Within 5 minute walk from both Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. Great front office staff. They were so helpful mapping out places of interest and making reservations etc. We had a suite which meant the bed and TV and nothing else was upstairs and a small couch and table and bath was downstairs. Overlooked a patio... More

At first, as I walked into the room and saw how bare and small it was, I felt a little disappointed with the price I paid. The rooms are very bare ... bed, side table, desk, tv and a chair ... nothing exciting. The bathrooms were spacious and modernized, which was good. But when you compare to its peers, you... More

The Ottocento is a good value option for the location, close to (walking distance from) the top of Piazza de Spagna, Fontana de Trevi and Barberini. The accommodations are not overly fancy, but they are very good for the price, and comfortable. The staff are helpful, and the rooms are well appointed even though they are small (and my room... The pros: Close to everything Well appointed with a great bathroom, good size triple room Breakfast okay, nothing special, great cappuccino, good service Car service for 55 euro from the airport, to me a bargain for 3 people and better than the alternative public transportation Restaurants galore nearby Free internet in the room Reception desk good with directions The cons:... We were so pleased with the Albergo Ottocento Hotel in Piazza Barberini. Quiet street, but close to everything. The Spanish Steps, great shopping and Trevi Fountain were just a 5 minute walk away and metro station (Barberini/Trevi Fountain) is just around the corner. Be sure to make reservations and visit Osteria Barberini where we had our favorite dinner in Rome... More

We would definitely recommend this hotel, location is 5 min walk Trevi fountain and 5 min Spanish steps. You are central to everything. Staff were helpful, room nice size, great bathroom and shower, comfortable bed. A few small points, the air conditioning wasn't working and towel rail in bathroom couldnt be turned off, bathroom was sweltering due to this. If... More

We stayed at this lovely hotel for a week at the end of January with another couple. We were surprised to find the rooms to be a very nice size and a beautiful bathroom.
