I generally do not care about hotel standards. I am just happy if I get something close to what I pay for. The staff are very friendly at hotel Galeno. That is the only good thing about the [--] The radiator in the rooms didnt work. They did not call anybody to fix it for three entire days. The "breakfast"... More

I agree with most comments, small room, basic breakfast, inadequate bathroom - but the price was cheap for such a central location. Our complaint was that my partner paid on arrival by credit card. On leaving two days later he was asked to pay again! He phoned his bank who assured him the payment had been processed for the correct... More

I found a dark hair under my pillow, the sheets weren't changed!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! Yes, the price is really good but next time I would prefer a more expensive hotel just so I know it's clean.

For the money i paid, the hotel was reasonable, but the hote staff (probably the maid) stole 100 euro from the room, during breakfast. The real problem was not necessary the stolen money, but the staff and manager attitude. They said something like "We don't care, our personal don't steal, so call the police or this is it"... WTF !!... More

We stayed at the Hotel Galeno as part of a package trip we purchased for Italy. We were concerned about this hotel to say the least! All things considered I probably would not stay here again due to its distance from the metro station. (A good 10 minute walk.) After walking around Rome all day, the last thing you want... More

For the amount of money i paid, it was reasonable. In deed the shower was small and the breakfast crap. I could walk right outside and catch the bus to the terminal to transfer if i needed. there was a great pizza shop 3 blocks down. The front desk person was friendly and helpful when i needed to get to... More

This is the worst hotel I have ever seen and it's totally not worth any of your good money. I've made a youtubevideo about the room (a.k.a closet) I stayed in, and the rest of the hotel, you can view it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjP3Q-PKGfY The staff is rude, their English very poor indeed. The breakfast makes you cry, the beds are... More

Budget hotel close to Porte Pia in Rome. Easy to miss on the street, took two go arounds before our taxi found it! Definitely budget hotel, tiny room, security blinds kept the room dark, noisy in the morning as most of the rooms are close to the kitchen, noisy when people are opening or closing doors as the doors must... Pros: Clean; friendly front desk, outside was pretty, seemingly safe neighborhood Cons: Smokey, paper-thin walls-heard a 3 hour conversation from the Brit staying next to us, a roll and nutella for breakfeast, room was 2 twin beds and 4 inches around the beds. Shower is tiny. Could not get 2 suitacases in our room unless the door was closed. TV... More

The staff was polite. That is the only nice thing I can say about this place. When they say their rooms are small they aren't kidding - way too small. My husband and I couldn't both stand in the room at the same time. The shower was a joke - completely unusable - missing a door and too small to... More
