VERY IMPORTANT: This facility, like many others in Rome, is booked through an agency.... you are rarely communicating directy to ownership, until a booking is ACTUALLY VERIFIED. If you book here, contact GIOVANNA or ALLESSANDRO directly by telephone to verifiy EVERYTHING: [-] This is a mother / son team who are the new management (as of September 2006). They are... More

I stayed in the Secret Garden in January 2006 and found the stay fine, so I decided to head back in March 2006. They quoted me with a price of € 72 for a double room and then when I tried to book online they told me the rate inputted by myself was incorrect. I forwarded back their email with... More

Spent 3 nights in the Secret Garden. After some problems tracking down the owner, eventually got checked in to a clean and spacious ensuite room with ceiling fan (very necessary as it was sweltering!). Unfortunately, despite having booked ensuite accomodation for the whole stay were told that room had been given to someone else for the subsequent two nights so... More

First of all to some people who had their meanings in some negative way about some staff....just knowing how hard it can be to run a couple of hotels, where you as a tourist can lay down, relax and have a great time... it needs lots of good organisation and lots of pressure...so second of that...MY COMPLIMENTS! You guys are... More

I stayed for 5 nights with my 4 year old daughter, we found the place clean, neat, good value. Staff ? Well that depends on who you get, Michael is fantastic! As I was booking last minute I decided it would be easier to deal with things straight away and rang directly, was speaking to the ownner, she was rude,... More

We stayed at the Secret Garden for a surprise mini-trip before my 40th day. The accommodation is reasonably basic but furnished in Ikea beds, bed side tables and lovely flooring. The place is spotlessly clea and we had a fantastic time. It was particularly moving for me (as a Catholic) as it provided a base to see the Vatican City... More

Spent the entire month of September and the first week of October in Italy, Tuscany, and Rome. I am a painter, so i like small places to stay, with character and accessible rates. Friends had recommended some accommodations to me, from their trip to europe a year ago, so I took their advice, and mostly booked the same, except in... More

having read excellent reviews on Tripadvisor I made a booking for October which was confirmed in July. 4 days before we were due to leave I received an email saying that they could not accommodate us after all and offering a very cheap apartment with one bedroom and a bed settee in the kitchen. My requests for the address were... More

The Secret Garden is a lovely place very clean and modern and in a very central area. Our room was lovely however we did have to close the window at night as it was noisy outside (but that was only a minor issue). The staff were very helpful. On our return journey to Rome we stayed in a studio apartment... More

I enjoyed very much my stay at Rome...this cozy family run hotel is very quiet and neat! Having breakfast with my wife at a garden terrace was lovely! Good location, very close to the colosseum...and great, it's a low price hotel...it surely was an important part of my unforgettable trip to Rome.
