stayed 2 nights - very good location, clean, rooms are not too small. another PRO - a lot of good restaurants and coffeeshops in the area.

I've gotten a lot out of TripAdvisor and Yelp websites, so I've decided to give back by writing reviews. To give you a sense of where I'm coming from, I'm a pretty low maintenance traveler who's been to Europe several times (i.e., I don't expect luxury by any means). Here's the short of it: Pros: --Walking distance of Vatican/St. Peter's... More

We thank you for the "pros" you've posted about our hotel ! Referring to your "cons" all we can say is that not all our rooms are the same so you could have asked to switch into another room with a nicer wallpaper or a bigger shower stall or a softer bed , though a lot of clients specifically ask... The hotel was in a great location close to the Vatican. Great location for restaurants on Borgio Pio. Ten minute walk to Ottavanio metro stop. Hotel was a little worn around the edge and had NO amenities whatsoever. But the place was SUPER clean and did have free wi-fi on the roof garden. Could not beat the price at about... More

My wife and I just returned from a 4 night stay in Rome following a 4 night stay in Paris, and we had the unpleasent experience staying at this hotel. To begin with, I'm not usually one to write reviews (I read a lot of them but don't usually write them) but I decided to do so after staying here.... More

Thanks for the good things you wrote in your review , our answers below referred to the bad ones might be helpful for our future guests : - Noise : it's the bad thing about being in the center of the city (which is one of the reasons you had chosen our hotel) but unfortunately we can't control the traffic... We stopped in Rome for 2 nights on our quick 7 night Italy trip. Found this hotel on orbitz.com $112USD for 2 night--good price. I read the reviews on tripadvisor and then booked the cheap rate on orbitz. *** Location: great!!! We opted to take a taxi from FCO airport for about $20Euro each but honestly if you are looking... Location: Just 2 minutes away from Castel Sant' Angelo and 5 mins from St. Peter's Basilica. Quiet and safe area connected to the centre by bus no. 40. Bus stop is just around the corner from the hotel. There is also a grocery shop nearby and a few places where you can have a coffee or a snack. Room, service... More

Overall this hotel seemed ok, but it is basic. The location and roof terrace were good, but there were no services for making yourself a coffee in the room, or for paying for one within the hotel, which was annoying. I would recommend taking a travel kettle if you like a coffee or tea to wake you up before leaving... More

Stayed here for 5 nights over new year. We would highly recommend staying here, dont forget its a 2 star hotel so dont be expecting the red carpet! however it was clean and had everything we needed. The room was cleaned daily, had a comforty bed, TV and the reception staff were pleasent and helpful. It was perfect the location... More

I stayed for 10 nights in a single room, which was more than comfortable. Has all the basic for someone who doesn't care about breakfast, safety boxes etc. Very clean, and a absolutely decent bathroom. In a perfect location, everything is near or on foot or by public transportations (subway-metro, buses). Places to eat or buy food also reachable on... More

This hotel would get 5 stars for location, but it is very basic and you should not expect it to be anything more than a room to sleep in. Pros: Location Lift Free Wifi (only works on top floor) Good shower Price Cons: Miserable staff No breakfast TV that does not work (though this was not an issue) Air con... More
