Fantastic place in excellent location! My room was georgeus, quiet , warm and clean. The Manager was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also very nice. Additionally there is a free internet access. I will definitely be staying here again if I return to Rome.

We booked the room at the Matisse one hour before we arrived because we had to change hotels at the last minute. Roberto was extremely welcoming:-))) He explained all of our room options. He gave us a map and showed us how to get around to the different sites. He gave us great info on how to choose where to... More

It was indeed a very pleasant stay at Matisse B and B. My family and I found it to be so cozy and homey. Our room was always clean and neat as well as our dedicated bathroom. Roberto is a very good host and so with his assistant who helped us with our luggages and who taught our way around... More

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I was put in a terrible situation when Roberto pulled the bait and switch. It was 10 pm at night and he wanted to put us in the Colosseum apartments which I knew was in a seedy area. After much discussion, he reluctantly "allowed" us to stay in our room which... More

We visited with a three weeks old baby. So, a clean nice quiet room very important for us. All the sites were in walking distance, the owner was super kind. When visiting Rome this is the place to be. The windows are all double glazing.

A very nice hotel, clean and quite rooms, breakfast is ok, avaliable 24/7, the owner of the hotel and staff are polite and very attentive. They made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. For sure the next time in Rome we stay in the same place.

I booked on internet and the photos dont match exactly with what I finally found. We were firts referred to a very old building (Via Nazionale), and althought it used to be a "palace", it´s really old and in it doesnt look so well inside. Once in there we were offered a room with a private bathroom "outside" the room,... More

Instead of putting us in the hotel as promised over the internet and phone, they put us into an apartment a block and a half away, saying we'd be moved to the hotel the next day. That would have been ok, except the floors hadn't been cleaned and were pretty disgusting. Plus, there was no internet, no lobby, phone, or... More
