The hotel does not have internet; I mean the front desk doesn't even have internet access. I had to go to the internet cafe down the street to print the email showing I had already paid online because they had no way to verify this. There was 3 other hotels in the same building that all have wifi and probably... More

I traveled with my school in October for a trip to Rome. The school had to book through school contacts so we where expecting the hotel to be a hostel for youths however this was not the situation. We arrived at Max Hotel, we where annoyed that the lift did not work and was quite smelly so we had to... More

I was really worried about this hotel having read previous reviews on TripAdvisor. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Hotel Max. Admittedly the common areas shared with other hotels were not the greatest, but the lift was in good working order and did not smell. The rooms provided were clean and of a good size - one point though -... More

Not as bad as a lot of the other reviews state. Room sizes are small, our shower room was also small. There was a lot of traffic noise but that was to be expected as it was so close to the Termini. Good location, easy to walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain etc. Breakfast was not good, just a roll... More

We visit Rome in the middle of February ( 4 people) and stayed 3 night at MAX Hotel. The Hotel is a small one, at the 3rd floor of a building with several hotels. The stairs and the elevator is not 100% clean but that didn't bother us that much. The location is perfect- near Termini Station and its easy... More

It was almost impossible to find the place. The stairs and the elevator were very dirty. The halls of the hotel smelled very bad because the staff bathroom was open and so near to our room. We booked one room for four persons and the just but four beds one really close to the other, I think it was a... More

Hotel Max in a word....Disgusting! It is located near the main train station - but that being said the location is very seedy . Trying to find Hotel Max is very hard too, it is located in a building with different hotels on different levels. So the front door does not say Hotel Max very clearly - so look carefully.... More

We planned to stay in Hotel Siracusa, but it seems they didn't want a large group (41 persons) there, so a few hours before we left to Rome we heard to hotel changed to Hotel Max... Anyway, we left and we were going to try to make the best of it since we didn't knew where we were going to... More

Room 2 - Situated on 5th floor. (The hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor as the other floors are occupied by different hotels) I arrived with a party of Photography students on a field trip to Rome. The booking in procedure seemed to take hours and upon finally getting to our room it was 4 beds all jammed together... More

It was terrible! The rooms were really really small!! The I shared my bedroom with two other people and our beds had to be pushed together into one big bed to fit them into the tiny rooms!
