After spending time in the bustling cities of Milan, Verona, Venice, and Florence, arriving at Casa Capellini was a wonderful change. We had a top-floor ocean-view balcony that was wonderful. Although we were out exploring the other towns and hiking during the day, coming back to our room to sit on the balcony was a nice treat. Other reviewers have... More

We stayed at the Casa Capellini for two nights and would stay there again, but be prepared for a hike up to almost the top of the town to reach it (very convenient to Billy's restaurant.) The view of the rooftops and street below is superb, but if you have more than a small suitcase and don't plan to spend... More

We stayed at the Casa Capellini for 3 nights. Our room was on the first floor and was a "partial sea view". The view was great but the major draw back to this room is the lack of a balcony. I think almost every other room had a balcony. For the amount of time you actually spend in your room... More

The room was clean but quite small. Nice balcony overlooking the town. The owners were invisible and did not attempt to help with any local information. Breakfast is not included. A small item but something I found annoying was there were no towel racks in the bathroom or any other hooks to hang wet things although there was a wardrobe... More

I would stay here just for the view, but everything else about this place is just as lovely. Franca & Gianni are amiable hosts and got us checked-in and out without any hassle. We got the room at the top floor and the view was amazing especially during the sunset and at dawn. The rooms were clean, cosy, and had... More

This place was wonderful! You are only renting the room - it is not like renting a hotel room. You have a key to get in and out and a wonderful, roomy, clean room with a little balcony and great view. When we got to Manarola it was very late and we, my daughter and I, were very tired but... More

My fiancee and I stayed here in August 2010 and all i can say is wow what a view. Yes the hike is tough, especially with a backpack, but for the view it is absolutely worth it. There is a great terrace to sit atop and take in the breathtaking views of the sea and Manarola. The hostess was nice,... More

The hostess met us around midday at Casa Cappellini - which was a little difficult to find, it is a purple house down a alley near the Church. It is in the highest part of the town - we were back-packing and found it a rather uncomfortable trek from the train station with the summer heat on our backs! But... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights. We were looking for a clean, inexpensive room, hopefully with a view. That is exactly what we got! Yes, it is quite a walk from the harbor, and then some stairs. But we felt it was totally worth it. The view was beautiful, and it was quiet at night. Franca checked... More

It is bliss to lie on a white bed in a white room with french doors open to a view of the sea and the postcard-perfect town on one side and another door open to a second balcony across the hall. Breeze moving through the room, with sun lightly illuminating the diaphanous curtains. A lovely reward for the long climb... More
