This is something really special! ... and those mountain roads and all the steps up are worth it for sure! Mostly owing to that charming atmosphere of the quite Italian place. Surrounded by the woody mountains, having clouds below your feet, you feel absolutely special therein! We've stayed for 3 days at B&B Rifugio Uscio, so we had a chance... More

"It's a real Italy" - was our first thought, when we enterted that hostel, beautifully situated in high italian mountains. We admired our not very large, but convenient, comfortable and colorful pink room with a wonderful view on the mountains from the window . We'd planned to swim and lay on the beach for the whole period of 3 days... More

Staying with Sonia was a fantastic experience. Her home has beautiful views from the mountains, down through the valley and to the sea. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, with tons of great tips for what to do in the area. Breakfast was delicious. Be sure to take the boat to San Fruttuoso, absolutely gorgeous.

Sonia was a welcoming and friendly host who went out of her way to make us feel at home. The 10 km bus ride inland was exciting and interesting - windy mountain road through little villages with glimpses of the Italian Riveria. Once there, easy to find as signs everywhere!! The bottom floor (where guests stay) was private and extremely... More

Sonia, the owner was very nice. She did many things extra to make our visit, pleasant and memorable. The main thing that I did not like was that she would not honor her promise to give us ”the green room with the big balcony and sea view surrounding the hills of Recco Valley, with a big bathroom private.” She downgraded... I have been traveling around the East coast of Italy for the past month and this place allowed me to get to know the real italy, not a touristic italy. It is very accessible through the gorgeous roads from Recco, only 9km to Uscio where people live the way you might have seen in movies from the 80s. Very familiar... More

If you seek the unexpected, are open to serendipity, enjoy merriment, and love an adventure - this is the place. We found this place on the internet having no idea what we were getting into. Staying at Sonia's B&B Rifugio is like staying with your adorable, quirky aunt who adds as much intrigue, spice and ambiance as the setting of... More
