This small hotel on a side street in Mantua is very centrally located. You can walk to the main attractions within minutes. However, we found our room overlooking the street to be noisy at night when the local cafes were open. The cost was a bit high for the room and the quality of breakfast.
Hotel Broletto is beautifully decorated but badly managed by inattentive managers for whom the place is just an investment. (By the way, do not bother with the large tourist restaurant in the piazza next door---it is another investment by the "family" that runs the hotel, so the hotel staff is forced to recommend it.) This hotel has obviously been recently renovated. It is now immacualtely clean and decorated in a a very modern style with lots of pale wood. It is an extremely good basic hotel, ideally situated in the centre of Mantova.
