The hotel has rooms at the rear which overlook the Matterhorn. It is a small and very friendly place to stay, only 2-3 minutes walk from the Gondola and cable car station which go up to Plan Maison. Splendid hotel, super position for the ski lifts and easy walking distance from town. Super food, loads of it - my wife was on half portions by the end of the week! Comfortable room, massive bed. Best of all the staff; friendly, helpful and very sociable. Will use the Astoria again when we ski in Cervinia in future.
