A really lovely hotel in a great location in Venice. As others have said it is far from the tourist throngs, making for a peaceful look at the 'real' Venice. The staff were all excellent. Though it was still a continental style breakfast, it was one of the best breakfast spreads we saw on our stay in Italy. We had... More

We stayed at the Hotel Al Duca for two nights in May. Location was reasonably accessible and was in a quiet location away from the throngs of tourists. If you are arriving by train and have heavy luggage, would recommend using the Vaporetto (for one stop) to avoid the high train station bridge over the Grand Canal. Any point in... More

Our recent stay here was a joy. Katarina at the front desk is just the kindest and most helpful person in Venice, a city not known for its love of tourists .All the staff were great and had no attitude. We had the very top floor room, totally new and fresh throughout. All the facilities were super clean and working... More

Superb location and super friendly staff who went out of the way to ensure room was satisfactory. They also gave great recommendations on where to shop, eat, etc. Great breakfast every morning. The hotel was in a quiet location, about halfway between the train station and the Rialto bridge. We really appreciated the quiet area.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay in this excellent hotel. Our beautiful room was a little small for our hefty luggage, but that was our only quibble. Had we realised the difference in size we would have booked a superior room. Otherwise we loved our stay in this quiet and beautiful hotel and can't thank enough the... More

It is not the luxury you'll find for the same price elsewhere, but excellent value for Venice. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly - no complaints from us! However, the breakfast offered was not great - better to pick up a coffee and croissant from Caffe del Doge before the Rialto Bridge!

This is a great place to stay in Venice. It is about a half mile from the Piazzale Roma with four small bridges to navigate, so a bit of a walk but well worth the effort. The hotel is located in a quite, residential neighborhood with a number of nice, local restaurants nearby and you can get a great flavor... More

My husband & I were very pleased with this Venice hotel and would definitely stay again! It's a bit of a walk to many of the popular attractions (St. Mark's, Rialto), however its convenience to the train station was more of a draw for us. The entire staff provided excellent service and the room was beautiful. The bathroom was a... More

We were part of a group and founf this hotel excellent. The staff were very helpful and could easliy make any arrangement we needed. Our room was very quiet despite being on the ground floor behind reception and close to the lift.which made it super convenient and quick to come and go from. rooms were large and comfortable
