.. and why should they? But if you're not one for grand gesturing, gesticulating or simply have no reticence whatsoever about making a complete fool of yourself as a 2nd rate mime artist, you're going to find this area hard work. Best stick to just going with the hotel shuttle to and from Venezia. The Hotel Reception service by the... More

Venice is expensive, so if you want to limit costs a little then you could do worse than a short stay at the Holiday Inn in Mestre. Its on a roundabout next to a fuel station, so we were slightly worried when we first arrived, but actually it worked well for us. Its located the other side of the lagoon... More

Our stay was ok. The reason I am giving this hotel a terrible rating is how the hotel manager treated people. For example we stayed at this hotel two nights. The first night I was in the lobby waiting to get toilet paper for my room (Since the front desk never answers their phone you must go downstairs to make... More

The room is far off from the public transport and the only way to reach the city is to take the bus number 6 or the hotel shuttle bus. The hotel shuttle bus has specific timings and is 8 euros per person for round trip if I'm not wrong. Bus stop is about ten to fifteen minutes walk from the... More

Avoid if possible if your first time to Venice, Italy. Taxi cost about 20.00 Euro from Venice, and about 12.00 Euro from Mestre train station to the Hotel. Hilton Shuttel 8.00 Euro per person r/t to venice. Room is too hot at about 26.0 C to 28.0 C. When ask to turn A/C the lady from the the desk told... More

Lovely spacious room, could hear no noise from other guests, very comfortable and quite a large bathroom. Even though the room was very warm at 26C, we could NOT turn the A/C on. Complaining to Management made no difference as it is hotel policy that the A/C is NOT turned on until their summer. We were able to open the... More

This hotel is not on the Venetian island but on the mainland so you must travel a few miles to catch a boat to Venice. It is, however, located near a shopping area and there is a couple of restaurants within walking distances.. My room was clean and comfortable but nothing spectacular about it. Staff was friendly. I would use... More

The hotel was ok. We did not expect too much since it was a good deal at EUR 80 during summer. Hotel itself is already old. Had a secure car parking. Since it is located outside of Venice it does offer a shuttle service at EUR 8.00/person for return tickets. The hotels staff has blended in to the typical unfriendliness... More

This was a great place to stay if you want to be off of the island of Venice. Buses are a little walk aways, great local restraunt nearby and a fresh market and small store a short drive or longer walk. Everything was very clean and staff (minus one lady) were very helpful. Negatives: The elevators are very very tiny... More

although this hotel is a bit out of the way the shuttle bus was excellent. The room was more spacious than expected and the breakfast buffet was quite good. I would stay here again.
