This lovely hotel in the Accademia district is beautiful, conveniently located, staffed with friendly helpful personnel, and serves the best breakfast we've had in an Italian hotel (warm croissants and other pastries, granola and cereals, fresh fruit, salami and cheese, blood orange and grapefruit juice and of course your choice of coffee drinks). When they offer free wi if it... More

This is an excellent family owned hotel in a superb location. The service was very good, friendly staff and a very good buffet breakfast. In the university area of the city, this part of the Dorsoduro is perhaps the least 'touristy' district with plently of good (and for Venice) not too expensive eating places and bars. I would certainly recommend... More

We stayed at the Pausania for 4 nights at the end of February. There are many nice looking hotels in Venice and it's easy to become inundated with options. We chose this one because it seemed decent for the price and was in a good location. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is set in a former... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. We were on the ground floor in room 150. Arrival: we arrived at the Airport and took the bus to the main bus station in Venice we then walked for about 10 minutes following a map to find the hotel, it was fairly easy to find. You need to have wheely suitcases in Venice... More

We stayed here in a family-room for 4 people, the room was large enough for the four of us. At night is was very quiet. The breakfast buffet was simple; croissants, bread, coffee and machine made orangejuice. The vaporetto is very close (2 stops accademia & Ca' Rezzonico). Walking to San Marco via ponte Accademia takes about 12 minutes. Around... More

This is my third trip to this hotel, and I just wanted to say how helpful everyone is with changing schedules and juggling rates. They have always given us the best room possible, and I can't tell you how much I think Internet travel research is valuable, communicating directly with the people at the hotel is the best. I recommend... More

The Pausania may not be the grandest palazzo in Venice, not even nearly the most fashionable, not posh, not on the Canal Grande... but it is a lovely, cozy, charming, friendly place for real lovers of Venice in one of the nicest locations possible. You should not opt for this hotel if you are after glamour, hi-tech, shopping, discos, tourist... More

This hotel is located in the district of Dorsoduro with many quaint little shops and eating places to explore nearby. There's a delightful gelato shop "GROM" just round the corner that serves divine gelato n hot chocolate! It is a traditional hotel with furniture that is a little aged, but the cleanliness is very well maintained. They have wonderful service... More

I stayed in this hotel with my mother. First off, you must note that this is an old palace with high ceilings, window shutters, no elevator and a crooked staircase. We went in may 2011. Already pretty hot outside, we were a bit bummed to hear that they only start putting on the AC in the rooms as of June/July.... More
