We stayed at Foscari Palace for 2 nights thus being able to enjoy the quiet evening times in Venice and on Canale Grande (after day tourists had left) The hotel is conveniently located right at Vaporetto station Ca' d'Oro, traghetto across the Canale Grande to Rialto fish- und fruit market (amazing display), gondolas right in front of the hotel. After two stays, Foscari has become our default choice in Venice. The Deluxe Canal View rooms are probably the best value for money on the Grand Canal, they open right onto the canal with a small french balcony. We like to wake up in the morning, open the window and observe the hustle and bustle on the canal. The grand... More

The Foscari Palace was a great hotel. We arrived at the hotel's private dock in our water taxi, were helped into the lobbe and brought immediately to our room. The hotel is light and airy with large well appointed rooms. Loved Venice and the hotel. Can't wait to go back.

Took the vaporetto from the Main stop near the train station. It stops at the Ca d'oro stop which is only 2 minuits to the hotel. Great location in the center of Venice. Very nice room. No view, but hey we weren't in the room too much anyway. They had a very nice roof top deck overlooking the Grand Canal... More

Location is great. Right on Grand Canal; gondola crossing to Rialto market right there. Vaporetto Ca d'Or is only one building away. Easy walk or quick vaporetto ride from train station. Small deck, one table, on waterfront for cappucino or cocktail. Lobby was quite comfortable and nicely decorated. So was small bar, although no one ever there (no patrons, no... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel from 9th to 13th March 2012 and loved it from start to finish. As in a previous review, we also had room 306 and it was great. Only small problem was that the mechanism for the sink plug was not working so it had to be moved manually. Had a small issue... More

I stayed at the Foscari Palace early February, pre-carnival time. The hotel is beautiful and could not be faulted, everything was perfect and so warm !. My room 306 was a classic double, very spacious and quiet and overlooked Campo Santa Sofia, with a side view of the Grand Canal. The room was lovely and warm considering the -6 degree... More

My double room was spacious and modern, not much of an antique or palace "feel" but quite comfortable by North American standards. Bathtub fixtures are something out of Star Wars, but I was able to get clean. The price -- under $100 U.S. dollars -- was definitely a bargain for Venice. Hotel values are outstanding in January in this usually-pricey... More
