A lovely hotel, well located central for shopping, stilling and getting around in Venice. Our room was really large, well appointed, but we hardly had any windows, and what we had, looked out onto an internal courtyard. We didn't complain, it was no big deal, and we only had two nights, not that we spent much time in the room.....Venice... More

I stayed in this PALACE with my husband for 2 nights . The biggest surprise was the room , it was as big as a studio flat . ( room no 516) . The breakfast was faboulus with delicious cheese & bread alternatives . We arrived the hotel with a water taxi ( costs 100 € ) from the airport... More

Our 3-night stay at the Bauer Il Pallazo was almost excellent. First of all, the location is perfect, right in front of the Grand Canal, and at a 5-minute walk to San Marco Square, this is the perfect location to explore Venice, mainly if it is a first time. The room, a deluxe suite, was very nice with as "époque"... More

This was my husband and my final stop on a trip through Italy. Definitely saved the best for last. This is the place to splurge on your hotel. I highly recommend this hotel...worth every penny. The staff was friendly and helpful and not snobby or pretentious. They upgraded our room upon arrival at no charge. We had a junior suite... More

Arrived at this wonderful hotel for a three nights and four days holiday. When expressed my dissatisfaction with the room, I was referred to Massimo who immediately changed my room to a fantastic value alternative. The new room was about 50 sqm in size, fantastic tall ceiling, and everything about it was spacious and grand. Facilities (particularly Gym) were excellent... More

I stayed at this hotel after spontaneously deciding to stay the night in Venice while visiting on vacation with my father. I was amazed at how accommodating the staff was for a walk-in reservation. Not only did the helpful gentleman at the desk "Massimo" take the time to show us different rooms (We were unsure if the rooms were worth... More

Our first visit to Venice and a 25th anniversary treat so we booked a room with a view at the Bauer II Palazzo with Elegant Resorts. The arrival and transfer by private water taxi was fantastic along the grand canal, although the private Bauer II jetty (and reception) was closed due to refurbishment work. Nevertheless the welcome at the Bauer's... More

Beautiful Old World 2 Room Suite with Balcony on the Grand Canal. Classic Modern Bathroom with separate shower and spa tub which felt great after a day of exploring. Authentic Art which gave the Living Room a Rich Quality. Breakfast in Settimo Cielo was heavenly (view on the Grand Canal, Food, Drink & Service included) Passing gondola's added to the... More

Our visit was a birthday treat and the Bauer lived up to expectations. The concierge was brilliant, assisting us with tickets to concerts and generally pointing us in the right direction each day. Our room was lovely and the setting for breakfast on the sun drenched terrace overlooking the grand canal was sublime. Best of all though is the combination... More

The Bauer Il Palazzo met and even exceeded my expectations. While not inexpensive, this lovely hotel is well worth the money. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Piazza San Marco. My room had a great view of the Grand Canal and was beautifully appointed. As a solo female traveller, I really appreciated the attentive service.
