Food excellent at dinner, waiters excellent.. Breakfast choices limited, no fruit, limited cereals..this is not like the same star hotels in Austria, which generally are much better on breakfasts. Desk staff efficient but not friendly. Rooms with Etna view can be noisy as there is a noisy road, uphill, outside. View of Etna is outstanding though.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was nice and view outstanding. It is on the edge of the town area so more accessible than most of the hotels. We arrived late at night and the ktichen went out of its way to feed us.

I get the impression that the poor reviews are a little out of date, as the decor is fine, bathroom modern, etc. Room was reasonably spacious, but could do with a bit more wardrobe space and clothes hangers. No complaints at all with our out of season visit and would recommend to travellers looking for an ideally situated hotel with all amenities , even if a little 'tired' in parts. But remember to take your own pillow !

We stayed for a week having booked through Citalia. The views from the hotel are wonderful, stretching north and south along the coast with Etna rising magnificently inland.
