We have just returned from a week at the Hotel San Giorgio in Florence. This is a spotlessly clean, rather old fashioned and very friendly little hotel perfectly situated for exploring the old city of Florence. It is located about five minutes walk from the central railway station, perfect if you are flying into /out of Pisa airport. A few... More

I took my elderly disabled father to Florence and we stayed in this hotel. Most important for me was to get Dad safely around the hotel, his bedroom and bathroom. The disabled room (#107) was on the first floor, serviced by a small lift which was very close to the room. A slight step up to get into the room... More

I stayed here for three nights in April. It was conveniently located minutes from the train station. The hotel staff was friendly and informative. My single room was small yet adequate for myself. Bathroom was modern and very clean. Elevator so I didn't have to carry my luggage up any stairs. Free internet access on main floor mostly. Breakfast was... More

Very centrally located. Very close to the Railway station and the historic city. All the main historical sights are within walking distance. The pick up point for the city tour and other day trips is very close. The room was clean but not very spacious. The corridor leading to the room was very narrow and dark. Breakfast is reasonably good... More

I first stayed at San Giorgio Hotel in August, 2011 and was impressed by the staff, location and everything. The hotel is very well located and close to everything from the main train station (Santa Maria Novella), Santa Maria Novella Church, San Lorenzo, the Duomo to the Uffizi Galleria. Staff were very helpful and tried to help us in anyway... More

We stayed for five nights and found our room comfortable and clean. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The location is great. Walking distance to the train station and close to all that Florence has to offer........ sights, good eating places. Basic but good value.

We recently stayed here on our tour through Italy. Front desk staff are helpful and friendly. Elevator moves at the speed of a turtle, and is very small. Breakfast is average at best...get there early or all the tables will be dirty. You are right in the centre of all the attractions...minutes to the duomo and David. Hundreds of restaurants... More

Room was not very clean, every night all we heard was the outside fans, air conditioners and flushing of toilets, our room with a view was of the sever pipes and airconditioners out our main window

This hotel is in a perfect location, right next to the train and bus station and near to all the attractions in Florence. Although it was close to all amenities it was very quiet at night. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the bedroom furniture had seen better days and had glass tops had sharp edges... More
