Main selling points of this campsite are its proximity to the city and the view. The view isn't good, much better from the Piazzale Michelangelo a short distance up the road. The toilets are adorned with crude graffiti, they're dirty, barely hot and weak powered. The staff are at best competent, at worst creepy. If you're staying in a motorhome... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here because we wanted a change of scenery from staying in Florence's city centre. I will say, compared to PLUS Florence (in the heart of the city), this accommodation spot was quite a walk from the train station. I'd reccomend taking a bus to Piazzale Michaelangelo (the camping village is literally 10 steps from the... More

As others have noted, the view can't be beat, especially for the evening panorama of the city. We have used it several times with the family in a camper van. While the sites are pricey, it remains the best camping option around. The restaurant has a good range of dishes; the bathrooms, while often busy, are kept clean.

We camped with our own tent. Toilets, showers and all other facilities were in good clean condition. They are also one of the few that is open late into winter. Close walk to town. Plug sockets are on the spares side. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Offers a fantastic view over Florence; in a good location, only around 20 minute walk to the centre of Florence and a bus stop is right outside. Like the Plus camping in Venice, there are a lot of facilities, the only real problem is that there's no plug sockets about, other than in the laundry area which is a little... More

Camping Michelangelo is located along Viale Michelangelo, can be reached by bus # 12 or 13 from train station (Santa Maria Novella), a 15-20 minute bus ride. It is also at a walk-able distance of around 2 km to the city centre attractions. The camp site and the nearby Piazzale Michelangelo, being atop a hill, offer really beautiful views of... More

My two friends and I stayed here for three nights at the end of August/start of September during a short trip around Italy. We really enjoyed it! We stayed in one of their permanent tents which was basic but very comfortable. The main problem we had was an ant infestation but that was due to our own stupid fault leaving... More

Had a nice pitch and shop/bar were great, and the music I think the other reviewers were referring. to was not the bar at the campsite. Now - I love David Guetta as much as the next Zumba instructor, but trying to sleep through a hillside of drunken people singing Titanuim at 2.30 am in the morning was not what... More

This campsite is beautifully situated. Staff were helpful. Unfortunately the toilets and showers are disgusting! This is a very large camping ground, therefore, facilities must be cleaned on a very regular basis during the day. I have been travelling for over 7 months and have stayed in many camping grounds in a number of different countries. These toilets and showers... More

We were not given an option to where we would like to pitch and therefore ended up at the bottom of a very steep hill miles away from the toilet block. There was no warning of the nightclub directly next door to the campsite, which played loud dance music until 4 o'clock in the morning. We didn't enjoy staying at... More
