The place is part of an eco-tourism B&B chain. The rooms are spacious, clean and although basic (e.g. no telephone and wire hangers), they are nicely decorated. The bathroom is large and faultless and the bed is very comfortable. There is also wi-fi internet available to customers, free of charge. While the residence is not centrally located, the neighborhood looked safe... More

Residenze La Mongolfiera is a truly lovely place to stay in. I booked two single rooms (no extra charges here for under occupancy). We actually stayed in two double rooms, they were clean, bright and airy. The place was in a lovely quiet area of Florence, 20 mins on the bus from Santa Maria Novella. (Bus stop just over the... I really liked the place. Our bathroom was big and it had a cozier feel than staying at a hotel. The hotel is hard to find initially. Even our cab driver's weren't entirely sure where it was. Luckily I printed out the map and address. You only have to take a bus to get to the center of Florence and... More

We spent 3 days in Florence, the B&B is very difficult to find at first and it is really far from the central railwaystation. It takes us at least 30 min(one bus called B1 maybe, 5-6stops) to get to the city central. The bus station is not far away, 5 min on foot. The room is spaciou and bright, the surrouding... More

We were looking for a getaway for the weekend and found the Mongolfiere to be perfect for this. I had searched the internet and basically had to decide between the Mongolfiere and a 4* hotel further away from the city. Somehow, the pictures and experiences of other travellers made me chose this hotel. Good decision. However, don't expect a 3... More

We stayed at the Mongolfiera for three nights and found it to be very satisfactory. The room was a good size, clean, and had a very fast acting air-conditioner. The service was excellent. Laura checked us in and gave us a map of Florence. She helped us with bus schedules and museum reservations, which was fantastic. We did not have... More

We had a very pleasant three days in Florence recently, and the Residenze La Mongolfiera made a wonderful home base. We got in very late, and our host Serverio met us and let us into the room, saying we'd deal with registration and paperwork in the morning. They have a private "garage" (more of a car port in US Parlance... More
