We stayed at The Grand Hotel Bonanno during May for 5 nights using it as a base to tour Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Cinque Terre and Florence. The hotel is a short walk from Pisa San Rossore railway station and from there you can catch trains to all place visited. The station is unmanned and tickets can be purchased from a... More

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised how nice it was after reading some of the reviews. Short stroll to the Leaning Tower, even though the immediate vicinity was not too appealing. It was in a quiet, and safe residential area, but no shops or restaurants until you got to the tower area. All areas... More

On arrival at the hotel, we were a bit disappointed to see grafitti on buildings nearby and an underpass where vehicles regularly drove over a noisy grate (which we could hear in our room which was at the front). Our room was very dated and tired but joy of joy, my husband was pleased at the ash tray on the... More

We chose this hotel as it was close to town and had free secure parking for our motorcycle. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean, I'd probably call it more of a 3 star hotel, than 4. The breakfast was very good, except the scrambled egg looked to be of the reconstituted egg variety. The... More

2 star not 4 star. We booked this hotel in a rush, based on the very good overall rating on Tripadvisor. I wish I had read a few more reviews. We stayed for one night, 29 April. We arrived to a curt welcome and had to ask for a map of the area - given there would be no other... More

Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. We utilized the 10 euro airport pickup, and the driver was right there when we arrived. There are very few restaurants in the neighborhood, but we were happy with the taste and value of dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was good to eat dinner there so that we don't have... More

A good hotel with nice public areas and restaurant. Excellent buffet breakfast included in the room rate. Efficient friendly staff. The bedroom and bathroom were somewhat dated but good value and adequate for a short stay. The location is good for the tower, within easy walking distance of the town centre and close to the Pisa S. Rossore train station.... More

The hotel staff was excellent, we had flights and trains out of pisa very early in the morning and they arranged a taxi for us at 5:30am and had a computer available to print boarding passes, etc. They also put together breakfast packages for each of us to take with us in the morning as we were leaving prior to... We were given adjacent rooms for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) with a door opening between the two rooms - so it came roughly to £60 per night per room inclusive of full buffet breakfast. Bedrooms were small but with all facilities TV, fridge , safe and bathroom in each . No bath though but revamped... More

We were dissapointed in this place considering it's reviews. The location was good as others say, within walking distance to the Leaning tower of Pisa, but this was pretty much where the benefits ended. The room was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. It was also extremly basic. The bathroom was also pretty pokey and the shower head... More
