My husband and I stayed here for one night with his parents, and we were completely charmed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms are all gorgeous, and the property is picturesque. We ate dinner at Il Gradale and it was delicious. The only thing to note is that the location of the castle means arriving by public... More

We stayed here as part of our Honeymoon and agree wholeheartedly with the positive comments. Great courteous and helpful staff, fantastic main restaurant where we had everything beautifully prepared and the taste of everything was some of the best food we had on our two and a half week trip. This restaurant should be rated as a 5 star in... More

A wonderful place to stay just a little outside of Perugia. Extremely helpful staff who will give you great guidance on where to go in town or around. The "castle" has comfortable, modern rooms in a restored castle with the most amazing grounds and views. Provides a superior breakfast and has on-site restaurant for lunch and dinner. Do not miss... The Castello di Monterone was a truly special surprise on our travels through Italy. We have stayed in castles before but generally they tend to be dated and more about novelty than a truly quality hotel....not the case with the Castello. This is a truly top quality hotel with full ameneties, excellent service, and an amazing view of the valley... More

Dear LuggageGuy, being defined "Special" is a great satisfaction for us. We completely agree with you when you say that each room has a unique 'feel'. This is the most important thing that we would like to transmit to our people coming to us. We feel like a "strange" hotel for many reasons, so the guests' impression is so important... More

The Castello is lovely. We were impressed by the beauty of the grounds and the special quality of the rooms and view, a spectacular view of Perugia. We were even more impressed by the hospitality and gracious efforts of the staff to ensure that we had a wonderful time. We arrived early to one of the restaurants, the more informal... More

The drive up to the castle was pretty intense, but when we parked the car and got out the scenery was just breathtaking. The hotel itself was stunning with carefully thought out seperate entrances for each room, our room was on thee ground floor, spacious and furnished to suit the style of the hotel. The castle is everything that you want it to be. Staying at the castle is like living a dream. I don't think that the photos truly show how beautiful and property is. It is perfectly restored and appointed. The staff is very professional and attentive. I cannot say enough about the hotel.

Dear dabbytoo, what incredible joy to read your review! Thanks a lot for the high value you have given to the castle and to the staff. If the castle has completely fulfilled your desires, "absolute perfection" is something that goes over our expectations. We strongly hope you will have the chance to come back and visit us again.
